About 2021 Chrysler Voyager
Overview

The Chrysler Voyager was introduced for the 2020 model year, replacing the entry-level trims of the Pacifica, and this year, it also serves as a replacement for the newly discontinued Dodge Grand Caravan. For 2021, the Voyager carries over mostly unchanged, except with a few minor feature updates. It competes against minivans like the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna.
The Voyager shares the Pacifica’s exterior design, which means it’s one of the better-looking minivans on the market, and it rides on standard 17-inch wheels. This year, the Voyager gets black lower grille trim as standard, and Ocean Blue Metallic is a new option on the color palette.
The Voyager shares the Pacifica’s 3.6-liter V6 engine (rated for 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque), nine-speed automatic transmission, and front-wheel drive (FWD). The EPA hasn’t yet posted fuel economy ratings for the 2021 Voyager, but the mechanically-identical 2020 model is rated for 19 mpg city, 28 highway, and 22 combined.
Since the Voyager is an entry-level minivan for the Chrysler brand, it’s available in just three trim levels, which carry over from last year: L and LX for consumers, and LXi for fleet customers. Standard features include cloth upholstery and a second-row bench, while the LX adds second-row captain’s chairs and additional interior storage. Heated seats and a roof rack are optional on both. For more options, consider trading up to the more opulent Chrysler Pacifica.
The Voyager comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a six-speaker audio system in the L trim. The LX model adds SiriusXM satellite radio and the option of a rear-row DVD entertainment system.
The 2021 Voyager earned a five-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and five top scores of “good” out of six tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). A reversing camera comes standard across the Voyager lineup. The optional SafetyTec Group includes automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and, new for this year, pedestrian automatic emergency braking, and full-speed forward collision warning.
The Chrysler Voyager continues into its second year as a simple, budget-friendly option for family travel.
