For 2020, Chrysler discontinues the lower trims of the Pacifica minivan and introduces a new model called the Voyager. The Voyager uses the same body and interior as the Pacifica, and the two are distinguishable only by badging and some exterior trim. The Voyager can seat up to 7 people. With the second and third rows folded, it offers 140.5 cubic feet of cargo space. The Voyager even supports BraunAbility rear- and side-entry ramp conversions for scooters and wheelchairs. Like the Pacifica, the Voyager’s sole powertrain is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that makes 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. It's mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Like most minivans, it comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD). With standard start-stop technology, the Voyager should match the Pacifica’s fuel-economy rating of 19 mpg city, 28 highway, and 22 combined. Chrysler offers the Voyager in L and LX trims. It also offers an LXi trim for fleet customers. The L trim comes with a second-row bench seat, cloth upholstery, a 7-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 6 speakers, and active noise cancellation. The LX trim adds second-row captain’s chairs, satellite radio, and in-floor storage bins. With either trim, you can add heated seats and a roof rack. The LX trim offers the option of an overhead DVD player. All Voyagers come with a reversing camera. The available SafetyTec Group bundles rear parking sensors with automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-path detection. The structurally identical Pacifica earned a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The new 2020 Chrysler Voyager is a value-priced option in the minivan category. It competes with other minivans like the Honda Odyssey.
