About 2020 Rolls-Royce Cullinan
If a Land Rover Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz G-Class, or Bentley Bentayga isn’t enough for you, Rolls-Royce has your answer. The Cullinan, introduced last year, is simply the final word when it comes to luxury SUVs. This year, it sees a couple of important updates. In every Cullinan, you’ll find a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 that develops 592 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque, increases of 29 and 37 from last year's version, respectively. Replete with a GPS-enabled 8-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive (AWD), and all-wheel steering, the Cullinan simply wafts down the road and around corners. However, should you feel inclined to move in a hurry, the big Rolls-Royce can reach 60 miles per hour from a stop in around 5 seconds. The big news for 2020 is the addition of the Black Badge Cullinan. Like versions of the Dawn, Ghost, and Wraith that precede it, the Black Badge comes with a unique, night-inspired theme. The “Spirit of Ecstasy” ornament that graces the hood is done up in high-gloss black chrome, and there’s dark chrome making up the grille surround, side trim, tailgate handle, and other exterior trim. Special 22-inch forged alloy wheels and red brake calipers finish off the look. The Black Badge can be ordered with signature black paint or in any of Rolls-Royce’s other 44,000 paint colors. Rolls-Royce grants the Cullinan plenty of safety features: a multi-angle reversing camera, adaptive cruise control, night vision, forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, driver-awareness alert, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keeping assist. As of this writing, no agency has crash-tested the Cullinan, but that’s normal for vehicles in this size class and price range.
