Used 2020 Nissan Versa for Sale near Florida

How much does the 2020 Nissan Versa cost?

Prices have softened 5.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 731 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Nissan Versa a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Versa earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 7.2/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 9/10.

Drivers consistently praise its value for the price, comfort, and impressive fuel efficiency, and many note that it brings technology and features you would usually expect in more expensive cars. The overview also points to a more polished, better-equipped experience than the Versa’s bargain reputation suggests, especially if you want an affordable new car that still feels substantial.

The trade-offs are clear: expert testing calls out fairly pedestrian performance and a cramped back seat. Even so, the Versa makes the most sense if you want a budget-minded small car with strong value and standard safety tech, and 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2020 Nissan Versa reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback also points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with drivers highlighting comfort, value, and fuel efficiency as reasons they feel good about the car over time.

The expert evaluation reinforces that sense of everyday usability by describing the Versa as a better-equipped, more polished small car than its predecessor, with a driving experience that feels more livable than the old bargain-basement formula. The cost-effectiveness discussion also emphasizes that you get more for your money, which matters when you plan to keep a used car for years.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that some owners have noted braking concerns, so condition and maintenance history deserve close attention.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Versa?

At 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of bodywork, brakes, and any signs of prior repair quality. Because this model is positioned as a value buy, condition matters a lot: a clean, well-kept example is much easier to recommend than one with hidden damage or deferred maintenance.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S trim is the most basic version, with 15-inch steel wheels, plastic hubcaps, cloth seating, a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, remote keyless entry, a USB connection, and push-button start. The SV adds 16-inch alloys, heated side mirrors with integrated turn signals, upgraded cloth, an armrest, satellite radio, and added smartphone connectivity, while the SR adds 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, a dark-chrome grille, automatic climate control, and passive-entry intelligent key. The SV is the best-value choice because it adds the most useful upgrades without pushing the car into the highest price tier.
• Powertrain: The 2020 Versa uses a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with 122 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. It is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic transmission, and the CVT is standard on the SV and SR. The engine is noticeably improved over the previous version and is described as decent rather than quick.
• Safety package: Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. Standard safety equipment also includes a reversing camera, front- and side-impact airbags, and Nissan's Easy Fill Tire Alert. These features are standard across the lineup.
• Infotainment: The base car gets a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity, Siri Eyes Free, a hands-free text-messaging assistant, and three USB ports. The SV adds the upgraded NissanConnect system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus an upgraded instrument panel with a large color display.
• Fuel efficiency: With the manual transmission, the Versa returns 27 mpg city, 35 highway, and 30 combined. With the CVT, it returns 32/40/35.

Which 2020 Nissan Versa trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Versa is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, and SR.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the least expensive way into the Versa, but it is also the most stripped-down. You still get a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Siri Eyes Free, a hands-free text assistant, three USB ports, push-button start, and standard driver-assistance features, but the cabin is basic and the manual transmission is standard. It makes sense only if your top priority is the lowest possible price.
• SV: This is the best-value trim. It adds 16-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors, upgraded cloth, an armrest, satellite radio, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a more advanced digital instrument display. If you want the Versa to feel meaningfully better equipped without overspending, this is the trim to target.
• SR: This is the most upscale version, with 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, a dark-chrome grille, automatic climate control, and passive-entry intelligent key. It is the right pick if you want the most features and the most polished appearance, but the added equipment is less compelling than the SV’s value proposition.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, a reversing camera, and front- and side-impact airbags.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Versa?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 731 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,798, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Versa's resale value?

The current average of $11,044 sits slightly below last year's $11,673.

That price movement suggests the Versa has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help you if you buy used and plan to sell later. A softer market can also mean you have more negotiating room now, but it may limit upside if prices continue to drift downward.

For a future seller, the key is to buy a clean, well-equipped example at the right price so you are not starting from an inflated number. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Versa safe?

The 2020 Nissan Versa earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes with a standard suite of driver-assistance features that includes automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, and automatic high beams. Standard safety equipment also includes a reversing camera, front- and side-impact airbags, and Nissan's Easy Fill Tire Alert.

That said, the safety story is not just about equipment; it is also about how the car fits your needs. If you are shopping used, make sure the specific car you are considering still has all of its standard safety tech functioning properly, and pay close attention to any signs of prior damage or repair.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Versa or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Prices have softened 5.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It brings improved infotainment, better safety tech, and a livelier ride than the older version.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value, standard safety tech, and improved everyday livability, the 2020 Versa is the one to focus on. If your priority is simply the lowest possible purchase price, you may want to compare it against older model years, but the 2020 is the better choice if you want a more polished small car experience.
