Used 2020 Nissan Sentra for Sale nearNaples, FL

How much does the 2020 Nissan Sentra cost?

Prices have softened 3.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,872 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Nissan Sentra a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Sentra earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its beautiful design, smooth ride, and excellent fuel economy, and they also like the useful gadgets and safety features for the price. The main trade-off is that some drivers want more power, especially stronger acceleration and quicker engine response. That fits the Sentra’s role as a stylish, value-focused compact sedan rather than a sporty one. Good and great deals account for 30.9% of listings, so you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Nissan Sentra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth ride, fuel economy, and overall satisfaction over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes smooth, responsive operation and a chassis that feels composed and supportive, which reinforces the sense that the car is built to be easy to live with. The cost-effectiveness writeup also notes that the Sentra delivers strong value for the money, which helps reduce ownership stress for used buyers.

For used shoppers, the main long-term risk is less about durability and more about whether the specific car has been maintained well and avoided hard use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Sentra?

At 62.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and signs of prior repair. Because the Sentra’s appeal is tied to its comfort, technology, and value, condition matters a lot: make sure the cabin electronics, driver-assist features, and ride quality all feel right on the test drive. If a car has accident history, you’ll want extra scrutiny on alignment, panel fit, and any warning lights or sensor issues.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SV stands out as the best-value choice because it adds Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, WiFi, two more USB ports including USB-C, dual-zone climate, proximity-entry key, adaptive cruise control, remote engine start, and a full suite of driver-assist features. The base S is more basic, while the SR adds 18-inch wheels and fog lights; the SV Premium Package adds 17-inch wheels, larger screens, quilted tan leather, and bright LED headlights.
• Powertrain: A 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder with 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque works with a CVT and front-wheel drive. The setup is smooth and responsive, but acceleration tapers off after 30 mph and the car is not sporty.
• Safety package: Every Sentra trim gets forward and reverse emergency braking, pedestrian detection for the front, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, rear side airbags, knee airbags for the driver and front passenger, and a driver attention monitor.
• Infotainment: The mid-level SV brings Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, WiFi, two more USB ports including USB-C, and larger screens. Navigation, wireless charging, and ProPilot are not offered.
• Fuel efficiency: EPA fuel economy is 29 mpg city, 39 highway, and 33 combined. The SR returns 1 mpg less in the city and combined and 2 mpg less on the highway.

Which 2020 Nissan Sentra trim should I buy?

The 2020 Nissan Sentra is offered in 3 trim levels: S, SV, SR.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the entry point, but it is the most basic version of the Sentra. Choose it only if your priority is the lowest purchase price and you can live without the extra comfort and tech features that make the SV more appealing.
• SV: This is the best-value trim. It adds the features most shoppers will notice every day, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, WiFi, dual-zone climate, proximity entry, adaptive cruise control, remote engine start, and a full suite of driver-assist features.
• SR: This trim adds the sportier visual treatment with 18-inch wheels and fog lights, but the core driving character remains focused on comfort and value rather than performance.

Every trim gets the same standard safety package, including forward and reverse emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, rear side airbags, knee airbags, and a driver attention monitor.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Sentra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,872 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,100, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Sentra's resale value?

The current average of $14,724 sits slightly below last year's $15,228.

That softer pricing suggests the Sentra has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy well now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later because the market has already adjusted downward. The Sentra’s strong value story and broad appeal should help support demand, especially for clean, well-equipped examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Nissan Sentra safe?

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Nissan includes a full suite of driver-assistance features on every Sentra trim: forward and reverse emergency braking, pedestrian detection for the front, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, auto high beams, and a driver attention monitor. It also adds rear side airbags and knee airbags for the driver and front passenger, which is a strong standard-safety setup for this class.

One caveat is that neither NHTSA nor IIHS has crash-tested the 2020 Sentra, so you should lean on the standard equipment list and the expert safety score when evaluating it.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Sentra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 redesign brings major gains in style, technology, and driving dynamics.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $15,258, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $14,724 average.
• It builds on the 2020 redesign with a more polished, smart-feeling personality.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2020 is the stronger buy because it already captures the redesign’s biggest gains at a lower average price. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer example, the 2021 is the cleaner follow-up choice, but price-sensitive shoppers should focus on the 2020 and look for a well-kept SV.
