Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, and spacious interior, and many also value the luxury features and advanced technology. The Pathfinder’s three-row layout and family-friendly packaging make it a practical fit if you want space and utility in a midsize SUV. Is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with strong performance, a smooth ride, and a spacious cabin that many drivers enjoy over time. That said, used buyers should still pay close attention to maintenance records and overall condition so you can reduce long-term ownership risk.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

At 63.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you commit. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially if you want to evaluate how the drivetrain, suspension, and interior have held up. Focus on condition details that matter for family use, including seating wear, cargo-area condition, and how well the third row and convenience features work.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Nissan Pathfinder?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value if you move on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 969 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.53% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,890, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

The current average of $14,890 sits slightly below last year's $17,629.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can help you buy at a lower entry point but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you’re thinking about future value, the current trend favors buyers more than sellers. A well-kept example should still hold appeal because shoppers continue to respond to the Pathfinder’s space and utility.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want a well-liked Pathfinder with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used-car price than last year. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2020 stands out as a sensible choice when you find a clean, well-priced example.
