Used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 12.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,912 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, smooth ride, spacious interior, and modern technology. That lines up with the overview’s focus on a roomier cabin, quiet comfort, and upscale practicality for family use and road trips.

The trade-offs are the frustrating safety tech, unintuitive technology, and sluggish performance. Even so, the market still shows 37.4% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for the SUV’s smooth ride and comfortable daily use. The expert review also describes it as quiet and comfortable, which supports the idea that it’s built for long-term use rather than short-term flash.

The performance notes also emphasize that the engine is smooth and powerful once underway, which is another good sign for everyday dependability. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about whether the technology and driver-assistance systems still work as intended.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on electronics, driver-assistance behavior, and any signs of heavy wear in the cabin or suspension. Since this model leans heavily on technology, make sure every feature works the way it should before you commit.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base GLE 350 starts with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, and the cabin can be upgraded with features like leather upholstery, massage seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, power rear-window blinds, and 4-zone climate control. If you want the most value, focus on a well-equipped midrange example rather than chasing every option.
• Powertrain: The GLE 350 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder with 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. It can feel sluggish from a stop and shows noticeable turbo lag, even though it is smooth and strong once moving.
• Safety package: The Driver Assistance Package Plus adds autonomous safety features, including adaptive cruise, auto braking, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist. It does not include the surround-view camera system, which is a separate option.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses two 12.3-inch screens, and the MBUX system includes a head-up display, augmented-reality navigation, wireless charging, and an interior assistant when properly equipped. The system is advanced, but it can be distracting and takes time to learn.
• Fuel efficiency: The AWD GLE 350 is rated at 19 mpg city, 26 highway, and 22 combined.

Which 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 1 trim level: GLE 350.

Here's the short version:

The GLE 350: This is the trim to target if you want the redesigned GLE’s core strengths without overpaying for extras. It gives you the new cabin, the roomy feel, and the latest MBUX tech, while still leaving room to add the options that matter most to you. If you want the best value, look for one with the useful comfort and driver-assistance equipment already installed rather than building one from scratch.

The safety package is available as an option, but it does not include the surround-view camera system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,912 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 82.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,133, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $27,133 sits slightly below last year's $30,905.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the current average or below, you reduce the chance of taking a steep depreciation hit in the near term. The strongest resale candidates will be clean, well-optioned examples with documented maintenance and working tech.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE does not have current NHTSA or IIHS crash-test results listed.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The available driver-assistance suite includes adaptive cruise, auto braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, Attention Assist, and Seat Kinetics. Those features can help on long drives, but the system is described as frustrating at speed because it can wander in the lane, fight steering corrections, and get confused by shadows or merging lines.

That means you should treat the safety tech as a helpful aid rather than something you can fully trust on every drive. If safety is a top priority, make sure you test the assistance systems carefully during your inspection drive.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesign brings a roomier cabin and Mercedes’ newest MBUX technology.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $37,927, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $27,133 average.
• It adds GLE Coupe variants for a more distinctive body style.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, inventory, and the redesigned cabin, the 2020 is the smarter buy. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model-year listing and want the broader 2021 lineup, that can make sense too, but price-sensitive shoppers should start with the 2020.
