What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLS?

At 68.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was minor or structural. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can evaluate bodywork, electronics, and overall condition before you commit. Focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLS?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 222 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $32,847, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLS's resale value?

The current average of $32,847 sits slightly below last year's $37,419.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can work against you if you’re selling soon. If you own one, a well-kept example with strong history documentation should hold up better than a higher-mileage or incident-affected car. For future resale, condition and records matter more when the broader market is already trending down.

Should I buy a 2020 Mercedes-Benz CLS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.22% compared with last year.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $30,178, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $32,847 average.
• The 2019 emphasizes striking styling and a more advanced luxury feel.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the current-year market with decent deal availability and are willing to shop carefully for condition. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2019 is the better path because it costs less while still leaning hard into the CLS’s style-first appeal.
