What is the 2020 Mazda MAZDA6's resale value?

The current average of $17,857 sits slightly below last year's $18,491.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also suggests the market has already adjusted downward. If you plan to resell later, your return will depend heavily on how well you preserve condition and mileage. A clean history and strong maintenance records should matter more when you eventually list the car.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda MAZDA6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.43% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,972, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $17,857 average.
• It adds a more polished, stylish, and high-quality feel with premium interior materials.

The 2020 is the better starting point if you want stronger value and a lower entry price. If you can stretch your budget and want a newer model with a more premium-feeling cabin, the 2021 is the better secondary path.
