Used 2020 Mazda CX-30 for Sale nearLas Vegas, NV

How much does the 2020 Mazda CX-30 cost?

Prices have softened 3.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 609 listings available, which suggests you have a workable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Mazda CX-30 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Mazda CX-30 earns a 4.6/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, interior quality, and performance, and they also describe it as a great value in its class. The CX-30’s use case is straightforward: you get compact-crossover practicality with extra ground clearance and easier entry and exit than a car-based hatchback. The main trade-offs are that it gives up some of the Mazda3’s sharper driving feel and misses a few features found in rivals. Even so, 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which keeps the market appealing.

Is the 2020 Mazda CX-30 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with buyers repeatedly highlighting the CX-30 as a vehicle they can count on over time. Expert testing also describes the model as refined and well put together, with a quiet cabin and communicative steering and suspension that support everyday confidence. Mazda does not position this model around free maintenance or unusually long warranty coverage, so long-term ownership value depends more on the vehicle’s condition and maintenance history than on built-in ownership perks. For used buyers, that means a clean service record matters because repair risk rises if prior care has been inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Mazda CX-30?

At 71.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on bodywork quality, panel alignment, tire wear, and evidence of prior repairs, since accident history can affect both reliability and resale. It also makes sense to compare trim equipment carefully so you know whether the car has the features you want or whether you’re looking at a stripped-down example.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base version is the most stripped-down choice, while Select adds dark tinted rear privacy glass, 18-inch wheels, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning. Preferred and Premium add more upscale equipment, and Premium brings the most complete feature set.
• Powertrain: The CX-30 uses a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 186 horsepower and a 6-speed sport automatic transmission. AWD is optional, and the system includes off-road traction assist.
• Safety package: Every CX-30 includes adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, a reversing camera, a driver monitoring system, automatic high-beam LED headlights, rain-sensing automatic wipers, and 911 automatic emergency notification. Select adds blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning, while Premium adds adaptive front lights.
• Infotainment: The CX-30 uses an 8.8-inch static display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto require Select trim. Mazda Connected Services includes a free 3-year trial, and WiFi service, remote engine starting, and a car finder function are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The CX-30 is rated at 27 mpg in combined driving with AWD.

Which 2020 Mazda CX-30 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Mazda CX-30 is offered in 3 trim levels: Select, Preferred, Premium.

Here's the short version:

• Select: This is the best-value trim because it adds the biggest everyday upgrades over the base version, including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, dark tinted rear privacy glass, and 18-inch wheels.
• Preferred: This trim makes sense if you want a more upscale feel and are willing to pay for additional comfort and convenience features beyond the Select.
• Premium: Choose this if you want the most complete CX-30 experience, including the highest-end equipment and the adaptive front lights that improve nighttime visibility.

The safety package is strongest on Premium, which gets the adaptive front lights that other trims do not.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Mazda CX-30?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward comparison shopping.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 609 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 71.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,989, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Mazda CX-30's resale value?

The current average of $18,431 sits slightly below last year's $19,002.

That decline suggests the CX-30 has softened enough to create a more buyer-friendly entry point today. For a future seller, that means resale value may depend heavily on how well you preserve condition, mileage, and service history. The model’s broad appeal helps, but the current pricing trend shows that the market is still adjusting. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Mazda CX-30 safe?

The 2020 Mazda CX-30 earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS and five-star ratings in every crash test from NHTSA, along with a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Every CX-30 comes with adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, a reversing camera, a driver monitoring system, automatic high-beam LED headlights, rain-sensing automatic wipers, and 911 automatic emergency notification. Select adds blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic warning, while Premium adds adaptive front lights. The main caveat is that the standard headlights keep other versions from matching the Premium trim’s IIHS result.

Should I buy a 2020 Mazda CX-30 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 71.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It delivers extra ground clearance and easier entry and exit while still looking and driving better than most rivals.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $19,082, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $18,431 average.
• It adds a more premium feel and a turbocharged option that broadens the CX-30’s appeal.

The bottom line: The 2020 is the better value if you want the CX-30’s style, safety, and everyday usability at a lower price. Move to the 2021 if you want the newer model’s more upscale positioning and are willing to pay extra for it.
