You should run a vehicle history report on every candidate and pay close attention to any prior collision records. Focus on overall condition, service records, and signs that the car has been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Lincoln MKZ?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can be patient and still find a solid example.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 193 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.63% compared with last year.

What is the 2020 Lincoln MKZ's resale value?

The current average of $18,908 sits slightly below last year's $20,923.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For future resale, the softer trend means your value may depend more heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market momentum. If you keep the car clean and well documented, you can help protect its appeal when it's time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Lincoln MKZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2020 if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction and current pricing support. If your top priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2020 remains the better all-around pick when you want a well-liked car with a softer market price.
