Used 2020 Lincoln Aviator for Sale near Alabama

How much does the 2020 Lincoln Aviator cost?

Prices have softened 12.99% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 857 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2020 Lincoln Aviator a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Lincoln Aviator earns a 4.6/5 user rating and an 8.2/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the luxurious feel, powerful performance, and spacious interior. The smooth ride and advanced features, especially adaptive cruise control and comfortable seating, also come up repeatedly in owner feedback.

The main trade-offs are the automatic transmission’s shifting and the price, which some owners see as high for the segment. That matters most if you want a three-row luxury SUV that leans hard into comfort and refinement rather than value.

With a moderate market verdict and a luxury-focused role in Lincoln’s lineup, it fits you best if you want a premium family SUV with a strong comfort-first identity. Good and great deals account for 33.5% of listings, so there is still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Lincoln Aviator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with repeated praise for comfort, powerful performance, and a smooth ride that suggests the vehicle is easy to live with over time. The same feedback also highlights the Aviator’s upscale cabin and advanced features, which can support confidence in day-to-day use.

The expert review also describes the Aviator as delivering soft refinement and confident acceleration, which reinforces the sense that it is built for relaxed, long-term use rather than constant fuss. If you buy used, the biggest ownership risk is making sure the transmission behavior and overall condition match the premium experience you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Lincoln Aviator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on cabin condition, transmission behavior, and how well the luxury features work in real-world use. Since this model is positioned as a premium three-row SUV, you should also pay close attention to whether the interior wear matches the mileage.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Standard trim comes well-equipped with three-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, heated front seats, Sync 3, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a WiFi hotspot, four USB ports, and satellite radio. The Reserve adds second-row captain's chairs, 12-way power front seats, upgraded leather, a hands-free power liftgate, Revel premium sound, quad-zone climate control, a surround-view camera system, and navigation. The Grand Touring adds the plug-in hybrid drivetrain and more of the higher-end convenience and luxury equipment, while the Black Label trims make the upgraded seats and stereo standard and add unique upholstery choices.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The Grand Touring combines that engine with a 100-hp electric motor, battery pack, and charging port for a net 494 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque, and it uses all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Lincoln Co-Pilot360 includes forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring is also included, along with a head-up display. Some additional driver-assistance features are optional on the Reserve.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Sync 3, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a WiFi hotspot, four USB ports, and satellite radio. The landscape layout is a plus if you care about easy smartphone integration, and the available head-up display adds useful information without clutter.
• Fuel efficiency: The conventionally powered Aviator with rear-wheel drive returns 18 mpg city and 26 highway, while the all-wheel-drive version returns 17 city and 24 highway. The plug-in hybrid returns 23 mpg combined, with a 21-mile electric-only range and a 56 miles-per-gallon equivalent combined rating.

Which 2020 Lincoln Aviator trim should I buy?

The 2020 Lincoln Aviator is offered in 5 trim levels: Standard, Reserve, Grand Touring, Black Label, and Black Label Grand Touring.

Here's the short version:

Standard: This is the best-value choice if you want the Aviator’s core luxury experience without stretching too far. It already brings a strong equipment list, including leather, heated front seats, parking sensors, and the full Sync 3 setup with smartphone integration.

Reserve: This trim adds meaningful comfort and convenience upgrades, including second-row captain’s chairs, upgraded leather, a hands-free liftgate, a premium sound system, and a surround-view camera system. It is the trim to consider if you want a more upscale family-hauler feel without jumping all the way to the top end.

Grand Touring: This is the pick if you want the plug-in hybrid drivetrain and the strongest performance numbers. It also layers in much of the higher-end equipment, making it the right choice if you value power and refinement over price.

Black Label: This is the luxury showcase trim, with the upgraded seats and stereo made standard plus unique upholstery choices and nearly every feature available. It suits you if you want the most exclusive Aviator experience and are comfortable paying for it.

Black Label Grand Touring: This combines the Black Label luxury treatment with the plug-in hybrid drivetrain. It is the most complete version of the Aviator, but it makes the most sense only if you want both top-tier luxury and the hybrid powertrain.

The Standard trim is the one we’d steer most shoppers toward, while the Reserve is the most balanced step-up if you want more comfort and convenience. Some driver-assistance features are optional on the Reserve.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Lincoln Aviator?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 857 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,518, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Lincoln Aviator's resale value?

The current average of $27,518 sits slightly below last year's $31,626.

That price movement suggests the Aviator has become more accessible to used buyers, which can help you if you are shopping now. For a future seller, though, the softer market means you may need to price competitively to stand out.

The good news is that the Aviator’s luxury positioning and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand over time. If you keep the vehicle in excellent condition and maintain its premium features, you should be in a better position when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Lincoln Aviator safe?

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Lincoln Co-Pilot360 includes forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring is also included, along with a head-up display.

The safety setup is strong overall, but some additional driver-assistance features are optional on the Reserve. That means you should check the exact equipment on any used listing rather than assuming every Aviator has the same safety content.

Should I buy a 2020 Lincoln Aviator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 33.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 marks Lincoln’s return to a more clearly luxury-focused identity.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $29,720, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $27,518 average.
• It adds a more spacious interior and modern technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2020 is the smarter starting point because prices have softened and inventory is healthy. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model year with a slightly more polished presentation, the 2021 is worth a look.
