Used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar for Sale nearTucson, AZ

How much does the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar cost?

Prices have softened 14.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 531 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an expert rating of 7.33/10, you’re looking at a model that owners strongly appreciate and experts view favorably overall. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its stunning design, luxurious features, and comfortable, fun-to-drive character. They also highlight its power and performance, especially with the supercharged engines. On the practical side, the Velar’s use case is strongest if you want a stylish luxury SUV that can handle both road driving and rougher terrain.

The main trade-offs are that some owners feel it is overpriced and the multimedia system could be better. It also isn’t the most practical choice if cargo space is a priority.

With 35.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with praise centered on its comfortable, trouble-free ownership experience and the confidence it inspires over time.

The expert evaluation reinforces that sense of solidity, describing the aluminum platform as delivering a feeling of refinement and noting the vehicle’s robust off-road hardware and standard four-wheel drive. The base model also comes with a four-year, 50,000-mile limited warranty and a six-year corrosion/perforation warranty with unlimited mileage.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that luxury complexity and higher running costs can make neglected examples expensive to keep in top shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on electronics, drivetrain behavior, and suspension condition, since those are the kinds of systems that can be costly to sort out later. It also makes sense to compare trim equipment closely, because some desirable driver-assistance features are not standard.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model comes fairly well equipped with a power tailgate, Terrain Response, and hill-descent control, but it lacks some of the more desirable driver aids that are available elsewhere in the lineup. The higher-output special edition adds a V8 and sportier styling touches, so you should decide whether you want the standard luxury setup or the more dramatic performance-oriented version.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four, a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 in two outputs, and a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 in the special edition. All versions use an eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, and the base engine is the most fuel-efficient choice.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and front and rear parking aids. Adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring are available in an option package, and the package also raises the speed threshold for automatic emergency braking.
• Infotainment: You get dual 10.0-inch touchscreens, a built-in WiFi hotspot for up to eight devices, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility. The system also includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The base turbo-four is rated at 23 mpg combined, while the V6 is rated at 20 mpg combined and the V8 special edition is rated at 17 mpg combined.

Which 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar trim should I buy?

The 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar is offered in 4 trim levels: base four-cylinder model, 3.0-liter supercharged V6, 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 380 hp, and SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition.

Here's the short version:

• base four-cylinder model: This is the best-value choice if you want the Velar’s styling, standard four-wheel drive, and the most efficient powertrain without stretching into the pricier versions. It still gives you the core luxury and off-road hardware, but you should be aware that some driver-assistance features are not standard.
• 3.0-liter supercharged V6: This is the middle-ground pick if you want more power than the base engine without jumping all the way to the V8 special edition. It keeps the same basic luxury-and-capability formula while adding stronger performance.
• 3.0-liter supercharged V6 with 380 hp: Choose this if you want the stronger V6 tune and are willing to pay more for extra punch. It makes the Velar feel more muscular without going to the full special-edition price.
• SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition: This is the most dramatic version, with a 5.0-liter supercharged V8, sportier styling, bigger brakes, and more aggressive hardware. It suits you best if you want the most powerful and distinctive Velar, but it comes at a significant premium.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and front and rear parking aids, while adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring are optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 531 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 79.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,658, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar's resale value?

The current average of $23,658 sits slightly below last year's $27,594.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may pressure future resale returns if you buy at the wrong price. If you plan to sell later, the key is to avoid overpaying now and to keep the vehicle in strong cosmetic and mechanical condition. A well-kept example should still appeal to shoppers who want the Velar’s styling and capability mix.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar safe?

The 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar has not been published with IIHS or NHTSA crash-test ratings.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard driver-assistance features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and front and rear parking aids. Adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring are available only as part of an option package, so you should check carefully to make sure a used example has the safety equipment you want.

A key caveat is that advanced safety features are not standard, and the brand’s lane-keep assist is less sophisticated than the more active lane-centering systems offered by some rivals.

Should I buy a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model year adds the SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition, giving you a one-year-only V8 option and the most powerful Velar variant.

The bottom line: If you want the Velar’s styling, luxury feel, and available V8 special edition, the 2020 is the year to target. If you’re more price-sensitive, a well-equipped lower-power version can still deliver the core appeal at a lower entry cost, especially if you prioritize value over maximum performance.
