Used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar for Sale near Ohio

How much does the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar cost?

Prices have softened 12.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 528 listings available, which suggests a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and an expert rating of 7.33/10, the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar looks like a strong fit if you value style and capability. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

Owners consistently praise its stunning design, luxurious features, and comfortable, fun-to-drive character. They also highlight its power and performance, especially with the supercharged engines, while noting that the multimedia system could be better.

The expert review points to a few trade-offs: it is not the sharpest performance SUV in corners, and it is not especially practical if cargo space matters to you. The overview also frames it as a good match if you want something that can handle both road use and rougher terrain.

With 36.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with praise centered on its comfortable, trouble-free driving experience and the kind of ownership confidence that comes from strong long-term impressions.

The expert review describes the platform as solid and refined, which supports the sense that it should feel composed over time. Land Rover also includes a standard four-year, 50,000-mile limited warranty and a six-year corrosion/perforation warranty with unlimited mileage.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that luxury complexity and higher running costs can matter more as mileage climbs, so condition and maintenance history are especially important.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, because accident-free listings are not the same thing as problem-free ownership. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the suspension, electronics, tires, brakes, and any signs of off-road use. Since this model is valued for style and capability, condition matters more than mileage alone.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base model comes fairly well equipped, but it still lacks some driver aids that you may expect at this price. The higher-output V8 special edition adds more power and sportier styling touches, but it also comes with a significant price premium.
• Powertrain: You can find a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four, a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 in two outputs, or a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 in the special edition. The V8 brings the most speed, while the turbo-four is the most fuel-efficient choice.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and front and rear parking aids. Adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring are available in an option package, and the base model does not get the full set of driver aids standard.
• Infotainment: The cabin uses dual 10.0-inch touchscreens, plus a built-in WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility. It also includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four is rated at 23 mpg combined (21 mpg city, 27 mpg highway). The V6 is rated at 20 mpg combined (18 mpg city, 24 mpg highway), and the V8 special edition is rated at 17 mpg combined (15 mpg city, 20 mpg highway).

Which 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar trim should I buy?

The 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar is offered in 4 trim levels: base four-cylinder model, 3.0-liter V6, 3.0-liter V6 with 380 hp, and SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition.

Here's the short version:

• base four-cylinder model: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and still want a well-equipped luxury SUV with the Terrain Response system and hill-descent control. It is the best fit if you care more about style and capability than outright speed.
• 3.0-liter V6: This trim gives you more power than the base engine without jumping all the way to the V8 special edition. It is the sensible middle ground if you want stronger performance but do not need the top-end model.
• 3.0-liter V6 with 380 hp: Choose this if you want the stronger V6 tune and are willing to pay more for extra punch. It suits buyers who want a more energetic Velar without stepping into the special-edition pricing.
• SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition: This is the performance-focused choice, with the 5.0-liter supercharged V8, bigger brakes, retuned four-wheel drive and air-suspension logic, and active exhaust. It is the right pick if you want the most dramatic Velar experience and do not mind the premium.

Advanced safety features are not standard, so check carefully for the option package if driver-assist tech matters to you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 528 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 78.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,074, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar's resale value?

The current average of $24,075 sits slightly below last year's $27,554.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing gives you a clearer picture of where the market has settled, but it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar safe?

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and front and rear parking aids. Adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring are available as part of an option package, so you should confirm whether a used example has that equipment if you want a fuller driver-assist suite.

The safety review also notes that advanced safety features are not standard, which is an important caveat if you are comparing this SUV with rivals that include more driver aids at lower trims.

Should I buy a 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Velar or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model year adds the SVAutobiography Dynamic Edition, a one-year-only V8 special that broadens the lineup.

The bottom line: If you want the Velar’s styling, luxury feel, and available V8 performance, the 2020 model is the one to target. If you are shopping mainly on price, a nearby year may still make sense, but the 2020 gives you a useful mix of softened pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and a distinctive special-edition option.
