The EX Premium gets you a premium Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated front seats, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a wireless phone charger, and LED taillights. You can add a Cold Weather package, which comes with a heated steering wheel, a battery heater, and a heat pump, the last of which is an efficient way to heat the cabin that doesn’t detract from the driving range as much as the standard heater. Safety-wise, the Niro EV comes with Kia’s Drive Wise safety suite, which gets you a rear-view camera, automatic emergency braking with forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. The only option from there is a set of parking sensors. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the Niro EV with a Top Safety Pick + award.
