FAQs
The Kia K900’s pitch is pretty simple. It gives you the size and luxury of an Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, or Mercedes-Benz S-Class at a 40% discount. This big sedan got redesigned for 2019, so 2020 brings minor changes.
Under the hood, you’ll find a twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter V6 engine, making a healthy 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. It hooks up to an 8-speed automatic transmission and comes with torque-vectoring all-wheel drive (AWD). A drive-mode selector is also standard. Fuel economy measures 18 mpg city, 25 highway, and 21 combined, which is on par for this class of vehicle.
Kia offers the K900 in a single V6 Luxury package. That gets you 19-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lighting, a power trunk, Nappa leather upholstery, keyless access and start, a haptic steering wheel, a 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, navigation, a power sunroof, a 17-speaker, 900-watt audio system, paddle shifters, and front wireless phone charging.
The optional VIP Package comes with a 14-way power driver’s seat, a 12-way power passenger’s seat, ventilated rear seats, a premium headliner, a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, rear wireless phone charging, and a chauffeur mode that tilts the passenger seat forward for the rear passenger.
Safety-wise, the K900 gives you its full arsenal as standard equipment. That includes forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, lane-following assist, lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring with collision-avoidance assist and rear cross-traffic detection. The standard adaptive cruise control gains the ability to set itself according to posted speed limits, while the surround-view camera system is enhanced for 2020. The K900 hasn’t yet been fully evaluated by either the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
