Used 2020 Jeep Gladiator for Sale nearPhoenix, AZ

How much does the 2020 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 10.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,569 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — you’re looking at a 4.8/5 user-rated truck with an expert score of 7.7/10. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise its fun driving experience, stylish design, and versatility as both a truck and a Jeep. They also highlight its off-road capability and spacious cargo area.

The trade-offs are familiar: some owners mention a noisy highway ride, a cramped-feeling interior, and value concerns. That lines up with the overview, which frames it as a truck for buyers who want both work capability and rough-terrain ability rather than a conventional midsize pickup.

Good and great deals account for 36.0% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. Drivers describe it as versatile, fun, and capable, with repeated praise for its off-road ability and truck utility.

The expert review also emphasizes that it is built for hard use and adventure, with a rugged character that supports dependable ownership in the right hands. The cost-effectiveness commentary suggests it should retain value over time, which is another positive sign for long-term ownership.

For used buyers, the main risk is paying too much for a truck that may have been used hard, so condition and maintenance history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on signs of off-road use, wear from towing or hauling, and any evidence of hard use. Pay close attention to the condition of the top, doors, suspension, underbody, and cabin materials.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Four versions of the Gladiator are available: Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon. The base Sport is the most stripped-down, while the Overland adds more comfort and tech, and the Rubicon is the most trail-focused. The review notes that advanced safety features are not standard, so you should pay close attention to which packages are included.
• Powertrain: All trims use a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, and all have 4-wheel drive. The 8-speed automatic is described as smooth and quick, while the manual is also available.
• Safety package: The Active Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear parking-assist sensors, and LED taillights. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning. These features are optional, not standard.
• Infotainment: The mid-level Uconnect 4 system includes a 7-inch display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and satellite radio. The top system adds an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, a Wi-Fi hotspot, SiriusXM Guardian connected services, and an SOS emergency call button.
• Fuel efficiency: The Gladiator is rated at 19 mpg in combined driving, and the review notes that gas mileage isn’t great.

Which 2020 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Overland, and Rubicon.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but the review makes clear that prices rise quickly once you add the automatic transmission or hardtop. It makes sense if you want the Gladiator’s core identity and plan to keep options in check.
• Sport S: This is the trim to watch if you want a better balance of equipment and price. It sits in the middle of the lineup and should be the best-value choice for many shoppers.
• Overland: This trim leans more toward comfort and everyday use, and the review’s test truck was an Overland with nearly every upgrade. It suits you if you want a more polished Gladiator without jumping all the way to the most trail-focused version.
• Rubicon: This is the most capable off-road trim, with Rock-Trac 4WD, locking differentials, sway-bar disconnect, rock rails, and off-road-focused hardware. Choose it if trail performance matters most.

The Active Safety Group and Advanced Safety Group are optional, so check each truck carefully for those packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Jeep Gladiator?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, which gives you room to shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,569 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $27,536, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $27,536 sits slightly below last year's $30,619.

That decline suggests the market has cooled, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the good news is that the Gladiator’s distinctive identity and strong owner satisfaction can help support demand.

Its value story is also tied to its niche appeal: buyers who want a Wrangler-like truck tend to be more committed than average midsize-truck shoppers. That can help keep interest steady even when pricing softens.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Jeep Gladiator safe?

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety setup centers on two optional driver-assistance groups. The Active Safety Group installs blind-spot monitoring, rear parking-assist sensors, and LED taillights, while the Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning. Advanced safety features are not standard, so you should verify exactly what a used truck includes.

The review also flags a key caveat: the truck’s overall safety assessment is conservative because of limited crash data and the lack of automatic emergency braking.

Should I buy a 2020 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model delivers standout off-road capability and a fun, distinctive driving experience.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $30,026, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $27,536 average.
• It adds a turbo-diesel engine and free scheduled maintenance.

The bottom line: If you want the lower average price and strong current inventory, the 2020 is the easier buy. If you’re willing to spend more for the 2021’s added engine choice and maintenance perk, that newer model may be worth the stretch.
