Used 2023 Jeep Gladiator for Sale nearPhoenix, AZ

How much does the 2023 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 2.35% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,883 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and conditions.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Gladiator earns a 4.82/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, off-road capability, and the way it blends ruggedness with useful technology. The Gladiator also stands out for its truck utility, with strong payload and towing capability, plus the removable top and doors that make it feel unlike most pickups.

The trade-offs are clear: it is noisy, expensive, and not especially refined for everyday commuting. That makes it a better fit if you want a distinctive midsize truck with real utility and personality rather than a quiet, value-focused daily driver.

With 36.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.82/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with owners highlighting the truck’s ruggedness and the confidence that comes from its blend of capability and technology. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Gladiator is built for hard use, with a durable, easy-to-clean cabin and a setup that suits adventurous ownership.

If you want a used Gladiator, the main long-term risk is paying a premium for a truck that can still be noisy, rough around the edges, and costly to own if you expect mainstream-truck refinement.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear from off-road use, suspension condition, and signs of hard use. You should also pay close attention to cabin condition, since the Gladiator’s rugged interior can hide heavy use better than a more conventional truck.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup starts with the basic Sport trim, and the Freedom Edition adds gloss black wheels, body-color fender flares, a winch-capable steel front bumper, steel rock rails, LED headlights, cloth seats with leather trim, and special decals. The High Altitude model can be equipped with a Capability Package that adds a winch-capable steel front bumper, steel rock rails, and a front off-road camera system.
• Powertrain: You get a standard 285-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6 with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic, or an available 260-hp, 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 with 442 lb-ft of torque and an eight-speed automatic. The diesel is the efficiency play, while the gas V6 is the standard choice.
• Safety package: The optional Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. Jeep does not offer lane-departure warning or lane-keeping assistance.
• Infotainment: A 7-inch touchscreen is standard with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a USB data and charging port, and an eight-speaker stereo. The available 8.4-inch system adds navigation, connected services, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Alexa integration, SiriusXM satellite radio, a portable Bluetooth speaker, and a nine-speaker Alpine premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The optional EcoDiesel turbodiesel engine returns 24 mpg in combined driving. The gas V6 in the test truck was rated at 19 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 9 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Freedom Edition, Overland, Mojave, Rubicon, High Altitude, and Mojave.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it is the most basic way into the Gladiator lineup, so you should expect the fewest comfort and convenience features. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and plan to add equipment carefully.
• Sport S: This is the better starting point for most shoppers because it builds on the base truck without pushing you into the higher-priced specialty trims. It is also the trim used for the Freedom Edition, which adds appearance and utility upgrades.
• Willys: This trim gets added standard equipment for 2023, making it a stronger value if you want more capability-oriented content without jumping to the pricier off-road models.
• Overland: This is the more upscale mainstream choice if you want a nicer-feeling Gladiator without going all the way to the specialty trims. It suits buyers who care more about daily comfort than extreme trail hardware.
• Mojave: This is the best fit if you want the most desert-focused setup, including Fox shocks, a front suspension lift, 33-inch all-terrain tires, a locking rear differential, and steel rock rails. It is the standout choice for buyers who want the most distinctive ride and off-road tuning.
• Rubicon: This is the trim to choose if you want the most serious trail hardware, including Rock-Trac 4WD and a Tru-Lok locking front differential. It is the obvious pick for buyers prioritizing off-road capability over comfort.
• High Altitude: This is the most upscale trim in the lineup and is the right choice if you want the most premium presentation. Its available Capability Package adds useful off-road gear, but this trim is mainly about luxury and appearance.
• Freedom Edition: This is a special Sport S-based model with unique appearance and utility upgrades, plus a charitable tie-in. It makes sense if you want a distinctive look and some extra equipment without moving into the highest-priced trims.
• Mojave: This is the best-value trim for buyers who want the Gladiator’s most unique driving character and desert-ready hardware. It stands out for its suspension tuning and is the most compelling choice if you want capability with personality.

The Safety Group is worth adding on trims where it is available, and the Advanced Safety Group is the better choice if you want the full set of driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Gladiator?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,883 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.35% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,272, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $33,866 sits slightly below last year's $34,680.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and trim choice rather than assuming the truck will hold a premium automatically.

The Gladiator’s distinctive appeal helps support demand, especially for shoppers who want open-air capability and real truck utility in one package. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment should remain easier to move than plain, heavily used trucks.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.82/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator safe?

The Jeep Gladiator earns a four-star rating for frontal-impact protection from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety says its headlights are Marginal at best.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The available Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors, while the Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights. Jeep does not offer lane-departure warning or lane-keeping assistance.

The main caveat is that the truck’s safety equipment is limited compared with many rivals, and the headlight result is a notable weak point.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.35% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.82/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the open-air Jeep identity, strong truck utility, and available diesel efficiency.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,588, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $33,866 average.
• It adds minor styling revisions and next-generation infotainment technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter buy because it delivers the core Gladiator experience at a lower average price. If you are willing to pay more for newer tech and updated features, the 2024 is the better path for you.
