Used 2020 INFINITI QX80 for Sale nearFayetteville, NC

How much does the 2020 INFINITI QX80 cost?

Prices have softened 14.15% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 636 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 INFINITI QX80 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It stands out as a more luxurious take on the Nissan Armada, with premium accommodations that help it feel a step above its similarly sized sibling. For you, that means a large SUV that emphasizes comfort and presence, with a powerful engine and a comfortable ride as major strengths.

The trade-offs are clear: outdated technology and poor fuel economy are part of the package. That makes it a better fit if you value luxury and capability more than modern tech or efficiency.

35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The QX80 is presented as a premium, comfort-focused full-size SUV with a strong powertrain and a smooth ride, which supports confidence in everyday use. Its V8 and seven-speed automatic are described as capable of handling the SUV’s weight, and the rear auto-leveling suspension helps it ride smoothly and stay level when towing.

The powertrain is also described as relatively smooth-shifting, and the SUV is built to handle demanding use, including towing and rougher terrain. Infiniti backs the QX80 with a four-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a six-year/70,000-mile powertrain warranty.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that its age and fuel consumption can make upkeep and daily running costs less appealing over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 INFINITI QX80?

At 69.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, signs of prior repair, and overall mechanical health. Because this is a large luxury SUV, it also makes sense to pay close attention to how the cabin, electronics, and suspension feel in real use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The QX80 is sold in Luxe and Limited trims. The cabin is generally attractive and upscale, but some trim pieces aren’t up to the standard of other SUVs in this class, and Limited models add matte silver and open-pore Ash wood trim.
• Powertrain: Every QX80 uses a 5.6-liter V8 with a seven-speed automatic and manual-shift mode. It makes 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and the rear-wheel drive version returns 14 mpg city, 20 mpg highway, and 16 mpg combined, while the four-wheel drive version returns 13 mpg city, 19 mpg highway, and 15 mpg combined.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and automatic collision notification. Available features include blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, distance-control assist, and lane-keep assist.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses an 8-inch upper touch screen and a 7.0-inch lower touch screen. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, satellite radio, Bluetooth, keyless entry, remote start, tri-zone climate control, a moonroof, a CD player, and four USB ports are standard, while two 8.0-inch displays, a rear-seat entertainment system, and a WiFi hot spot are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The rear-wheel drive model gets 14 mpg city, 20 mpg highway, and 16 mpg combined, while the four-wheel drive model gets 13 mpg city, 19 mpg highway, and 15 mpg combined.

Which 2020 INFINITI QX80 trim should I buy?

The 2020 INFINITI QX80 is offered in 2 trim levels: Luxe and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Luxe: This is the value play if you want the QX80’s core strengths without jumping to the top trim. You still get the V8 power, the smooth ride, the dual-screen infotainment setup, and the standard safety tech, plus the option to choose rear- or four-wheel drive.
• Limited: This is the better pick if you want the most upscale version of the QX80. It adds a more premium presentation with matte silver and open-pore Ash wood trim, standard 4WD, and the more advanced steering system.

The standard safety package is strong for the class, but the model is still an older design, so you should weigh its equipment against its age.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 INFINITI QX80?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find opportunities.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 636 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.15% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 69.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,358, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $22,358 sits slightly below last year's $26,043.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to keep the SUV for a while. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Because the QX80 is a premium SUV with strong comfort and capability, well-kept examples should still attract interest from shoppers who want a large luxury model without paying new-SUV prices. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 INFINITI QX80 safe?

The Infiniti QX80 earns good scores in the IIHS moderate overlap front and side crash tests.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system, and automatic collision notification. You can add blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, distance-control assist, and lane-keep assist.

The QX80 is an older model, so it doesn’t have all the newer driver-assist features found in some rivals. The available safety tech is solid, but the crashworthiness coverage is incomplete, so you should pay close attention to the vehicle’s condition and equipment level when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2020 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It pairs a luxurious cabin with a powerful engine and comfortable ride.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $20,969, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $22,358 average.
• It’s an older, plush luxury SUV with a traditional feel and decent shelf life.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $28,466, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $22,358 average.
• It adds a reshuffled trim lineup and improved rearview mirror tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price and the QX80’s core luxury-and-capability formula, the 2020 is the smart default. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2019 can save you money, while the 2021 makes sense only if you want the newer updates and are willing to pay more.
