Used 2020 Honda Ridgeline for Sale nearPhoenix, AZ

How much does the 2020 Honda Ridgeline cost?

Prices have softened 6.04% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 928 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Honda Ridgeline earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Form and function at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, smooth ride, and versatile features, and many also highlight the quiet cabin and practical cargo space. The expert review echoes that everyday usability focus, while also noting the truck’s powerful engine and comfortable ride.

The main trade-offs are its potentially polarizing design and unintuitive technology. If you want a truck that fits daily driving better than a more traditional, rougher pickup, this model year lines up well with that use case. The market also shows 35.3% good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile listings to find.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for comfort, versatility, and features that hold up well over time. The expert review also reinforces that this is a truck built for everyday use, with a smooth, composed driving character that supports long-term confidence.

Honda’s maintenance-friendly reputation is helped here by the Ridgeline’s practical design and broad appeal, especially if you want a truck that is easy to live with. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about outright toughness and more about whether the truck’s technology and prior use history have been kept in good shape.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Honda Ridgeline?

At 72.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and any signs of prior repair. It also makes sense to focus on how the truck’s technology and driver-assistance features operate, since the cabin electronics are a known weak point. If you’re shopping a higher-trim example, make sure the added equipment works as intended and matches the listing description.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport and RTL trims are the more straightforward choices, while RTL-E and Black Edition add more equipment and a richer cabin. The base setup is already well equipped for 2020, but the higher trims bring more premium touches and convenience features.
• Powertrain: The 3.5-liter V6 delivers 280 horsepower and is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard on Sport and RTL, while all-wheel drive is optional there and standard on RTL-E and Black Edition.
• Safety package: Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. RTL-E and Black Edition add automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.
• Infotainment: The standard system uses an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. RTL-E and Black Edition add SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, navigation, and an eight-speaker premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The all-wheel-drive setup is rated at 21 mpg combined, and the expert review notes 20.9 mpg on its testing loop.

Which 2020 Honda Ridgeline trim should I buy?

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline is offered in 4 trim levels: Sport, RTL, RTL-E, and Black Edition.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, but it still gets the Ridgeline’s core strengths, including the V6 powertrain, standard Honda Sensing, and the 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It makes sense if you want the most affordable way into the model without giving up the essentials.
• RTL: This trim is the best-value pick for many shoppers because it adds a more upscale feel while staying below the premium trims. It suits you if you want a nicer cabin and the Ridgeline’s comfort-first character without paying for the top-end extras.
• RTL-E: This is the trim to target if you want the most complete mix of comfort and convenience. It adds all-wheel drive as standard, plus navigation, SiriusXM, HD Radio, an eight-speaker premium sound system, and the truck-bed audio system.
• Black Edition: Choose this if you want the most fully equipped Ridgeline with the strongest premium presentation. It builds on RTL-E equipment and adds the same safety and convenience upgrades, making it the top choice if you want the most features.

Honda Sensing is standard, and RTL-E and Black Edition add blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and automatic high-beam headlights.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Honda Ridgeline?

The market looks selective rather than overheated, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 928 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.04% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 72.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,287, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline's resale value?

The current average of $25,320 sits slightly below last year's $26,947.

That decline suggests the market has softened, which can make the truck more attractive to buyers now but less favorable for sellers trying to maximize return. If you own one, pricing it competitively will matter more than it did a year ago. The good news is that the Ridgeline’s practical appeal and broad comfort-focused audience should help support demand.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Honda Ridgeline safe?

The 2020 Honda Ridgeline earns top marks in all but the small overlap frontal impact test for the front passenger, which results in an "acceptable" score. It earns five-star ratings across the board except for a four-star rollover resistance rating.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Honda Sensing is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. RTL-E and Black Edition trims add automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning.

The main caveat is that the lane-departure warning can feel intrusive, the forward-collision warning can be overly eager, and the adaptive cruise control could be smoother. That means the safety hardware is strong, but the tuning is not perfect.

Should I buy a 2020 Honda Ridgeline or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 72.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.04% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds standard Honda Sensing and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $26,766, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $25,320 average.
• It looks more like a traditional truck.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the smarter buy because it combines a lower average price with strong owner satisfaction and standard safety tech. If you’re willing to pay more for a more conventional truck appearance, the 2021 is the better fit.
