How much does the 2020 Chevrolet Impala cost?

There are 310 listings available, which suggests you should have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Impala a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Chevrolet Impala earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its performance, spaciousness, and value for money, and they also highlight the handling, engine performance, and interior comfort. That lines up well with its role as a roomy, comfortable full-size sedan with an expansive rear seat and straightforward usability. With 28.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Chevrolet Impala reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on the car’s comfort, performance, and overall value. That kind of long-term approval matters if you want a used sedan you can count on for everyday driving. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean history and consistent maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Chevrolet Impala?

At 51.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of past repair work, since those details matter more when a sizable portion of the market has accident history.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Chevrolet Impala?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile opportunities if you compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

If you find a listing below $13,590, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Chevrolet Impala's resale value?

The current average of $13,614 sits slightly below last year's $15,653.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. A lower entry cost can reduce the amount of value left to lose over time, especially if you choose a clean, well-maintained example. Strong owner satisfaction can also help support demand when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Chevrolet Impala or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2020 Impala makes the most sense if you want a roomy, comfortable full-size sedan and you can find a clean example at a competitive price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, it’s worth comparing nearby model years and focusing on the best-maintained listing rather than chasing the newest badge.
