Used 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV cost?

Prices have softened 11.22% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 710 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

Yes — the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is built around space, power, and premium features, with three rows of seating, room for eight passengers, and up to 121 cubic feet of cargo space with the seats folded. It also brings a 6.2L V8 with 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, plus towing capacity up to 8,100 pounds, so it fits you well if you want a large luxury SUV that can carry people and gear with ease. 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2020 model’s strengths are its premium equipment, spacious cabin, and strong V8 performance, but its poor fuel economy and troublesome eight-speed automatic transmission are important drawbacks to weigh. If you plan to keep one long term, you should pay close attention to maintenance history and drivability, since transmission behavior can have a bigger impact on ownership satisfaction than luxury features do.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

At 64.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and how the transmission shifts during a test drive, since mechanical smoothness matters a lot in a large luxury SUV like this.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 710 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.22% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,879, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $30,882 sits slightly below last year's $34,786.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because this model still appeals to shoppers who want space, power, and luxury, a clean example should remain easier to move than one with visible wear or a rough service history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $51,811, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $30,882 average.
• It adds a more modern, high-tech feel with standout cabin technology and a smoother driving impression.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2020 is the stronger starting point because it combines strong satisfaction, lower pricing, and meaningful inventory. If you care more about newer tech and a more modern-feeling cabin, the 2021 is the better upgrade, but you should expect to pay substantially more. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2020 is the practical choice; for shoppers prioritizing the latest experience, the 2021 is worth the stretch.
