Used 2020 Cadillac CT4 for Sale nearLos Angeles, CA

How much does the 2020 Cadillac CT4 cost?

Prices have softened 4.59% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 202 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT4 a good car?

Generally — the 2020 Cadillac CT4 earns 4/5 from users and 6.3/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

The CT4’s appeal comes from its mix of choices and equipment, plus a surprisingly low base price. It is positioned as an entry-level luxury sport sedan with a familiar foundation, but the trade-offs are clear: the car is described as lacking refinement, and its value for money is judged poor.

For shoppers who want a compact luxury sedan with a strong tech story and an athletic bent, the CT4 makes sense as a style-and-features play. If you care more about polish and overall value, the compromises are harder to ignore.

Good and great deals account for 35.1% of listings, so you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT4 reliable?

Owners rate it 4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The CT4 is described as a car with a balanced, rear-drive architecture and enjoyable driving dynamics, but its standard turbocharged four-cylinder engine and optional-equipment approach can make ownership feel less satisfying than the badge suggests. The expert review also notes that the car’s lack of refinement is a real part of its character.

The standard powertrain is presented as capable of motivating the car’s weight, and the review says the CT4 can feel stable and secure on the highway. That said, the engine note and road noise are recurring drawbacks, which can affect how refined the car feels over time.

If you buy used, the biggest long-term risk is ending up with a CT4 that feels underwhelming unless it’s equipped and maintained in a way that matches your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 Cadillac CT4?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re looking at a higher-trim car with more equipment. Focus on condition, because the CT4’s value proposition depends heavily on how well it was optioned and maintained.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CT4 is offered in standard Luxury trim, with Premium Luxury, Sport, and V-Series above it. The base trim is the most stripped-down version, while the higher trims add more equipment and a more upscale or firmer character.
• Powertrain: The standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 237 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed automatic. A turbocharged 2.7-liter four-cylinder is also available, and the review notes that the stronger setup is better suited to buyers who want more performance.
• Safety package: The car does not come with standard advanced driver-assistance systems. Forward-collision warning and low-speed automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection require an upgrade to Premium Luxury, Sport, or V-Series, and the full set of features depends on adding the Driver Awareness Plus Package and Driver Assist Package.
• Infotainment: The CT4 uses an 8.0-inch touchscreen with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus natural voice recognition and connected services. The system also supports wireless smartphone charging on equipped cars.
• Fuel efficiency: The review says the CT4 averaged 25.5 mpg over a test drive and came up just short of its official 26 mpg combined rating.

Which 2020 Cadillac CT4 trim should I buy?

The 2020 Cadillac CT4 is offered in 4 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, Sport, V-Series.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it’s the trim that best explains the CT4’s low starting price. It gives you the core CT4 experience, but you should expect the fewest features and the most obvious compromises.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds more upscale equipment and a more polished feel without jumping all the way to the performance-focused versions. It’s the trim that most clearly balances comfort and content.
• Sport: Choose this if you want a firmer setup and a more driver-focused feel. The review points to stiffer tuning and performance-oriented hardware as the reason to step up here.
• V-Series: This is the most performance-oriented version in the lineup, with the strongest hardware and the most aggressive chassis tuning. It suits you if you care most about driving dynamics and are willing to pay for them.

Safety equipment still isn’t standard on the lower trims, so if driver assistance matters to you, make sure the trim and package combination you’re considering includes it.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 Cadillac CT4?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 202 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 75.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,799, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 Cadillac CT4's resale value?

The current average of $24,227 sits slightly below last year's $25,392.

That price movement suggests the CT4 has softened enough to create a better buying window now than it did a year ago. For a future seller, that also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, equipment, and how well the car is presented in a market that is still price-sensitive.

Because the CT4’s value equation is tied closely to trim and options, better-equipped examples should be easier to market than bare-bones ones. If you buy carefully now, you may have a better chance of preserving demand later.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2020 Cadillac CT4 safe?

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The CT4 comes without any standard advanced driver-assistance systems, so you need to move up to Premium Luxury, Sport, or V-Series before you can even add the relevant packages. On the test car, the available features included lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot and lane-change warning, rear cross-traffic warning, and automatic high-beam headlights.

The review also notes that the Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, all-speed automatic forward emergency braking, and a rear emergency braking system, but those features were not on the test car. The Safety Alert seat is another notable feature, using vibrations to get your attention when the car detects something that needs it.

Crash-test results are not available in the provided data, so you should focus on the equipment level of the specific car you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2020 Cadillac CT4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 35.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 75.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.59% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• The 2020 model stands out for its surprisingly low base price, multiple powertrain options, and impressive technology.

The bottom line: If you want the lowest entry price and you’re comfortable shopping carefully for the right trim and equipment, the 2020 is the better value-focused path. If you want a newer CT4 with more standard safety tech, a later model year is the smarter choice for buyers who can spend a bit more.
