Used 2020 BMW X5 for Sale nearAlbuquerque, NM

How much does the 2020 BMW X5 cost?

Prices have softened 12.60% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,067 listings available, which suggests you have a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2020 BMW X5 a good car?

Yes — the 2020 BMW X5 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its smooth ride, luxurious interior, and advanced technology features, and they also value the comfort and spaciousness it offers. That lines up well with its role as a luxury midsize SUV for you if you want something that feels polished, roomy, and engaging rather than merely practical. With 34.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent amount of market opportunity to shop carefully.

Is the 2020 BMW X5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe the X5 as dependable in the ways that matter most to them, especially when it comes to comfort, build quality, and everyday usability. The same feedback also points to some complexity in the tech systems and higher maintenance costs, so you should expect ownership to be more demanding than a simpler mainstream SUV. For used buyers, that means the long-term risk is less about basic appeal and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well.

What should I look for when buying a used 2020 BMW X5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report so you can confirm accident status, title status, and service patterns before you get too far into the process. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the electronics, since the tech systems can be complex and are worth checking carefully. You should also focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because higher running costs can make neglected examples more expensive to own.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2020 BMW X5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you know what to look for.

• Deal availability: 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,067 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.60% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 77.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,794, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2020 BMW X5's resale value?

The current average of $26,794 sits slightly below last year's $30,655.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may temper near-term resale upside if you plan to sell soon. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can still protect value better than a shopper who overpays today. Demand should remain supported by the X5’s strong owner satisfaction and premium appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2020 BMW X5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 34.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 77.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.60% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $24,608, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $26,794 average.
• It introduced the redesigned X5 with more room and a modernized cabin.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $31,057, the 2021 costs more than the current year's $26,794 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option for buyers wanting electrified driving.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2020 if you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory. If your budget is tighter, the 2019 is the smarter value play, while the 2021 makes sense if you want the newer powertrain choice and are willing to pay more.
