You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks the electronics, driver-assistance features, and overall condition. That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if the market stays steady. Should I buy a 2020 Audi A6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2020 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2020 if:

• 36.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.6% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.02% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $21,658, the 2019 costs less than the current year's $22,877 average.
• The 2019 brings a redesigned cabin with a fresh MMI system and advanced tech.

The bottom line: Choose the 2020 if you want the stronger current-market mix of price, inventory, and satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2019 is the better value path, especially if you find one with the right condition and equipment.
