How much does the 2019 Toyota Camry cost?

Prices have softened 2.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,126 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2019 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — 4.8/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the expert rating is 7.83/10. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Drivers consistently praise its reliability, comfortable ride, and fuel efficiency, and they also like the smooth handling and stylish design. On the trade-off side, some owners mention slower acceleration and road noise at higher speeds. In use-case terms, this is a practical family sedan that still brings a more engaging personality than many shoppers expect.

Only 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2019 Toyota Camry reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers describe it as reliable and dependable, with a trouble-free feel that makes it easy to count on for everyday use. The expert evaluation also points to a trouble-free ownership experience and a free maintenance plan that lasts for two years or 25,000 miles. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that condition and maintenance history matter more than the badge itself, so a clean, well-kept example is the safer bet.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Toyota Camry?

At 51.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a close inspection of body panels, paint consistency, and signs of prior repair. After that, focus on interior condition, electronics, and how the car drives, since the Camry’s appeal depends on both its value and its day-to-day livability. If you’re comparing multiple listings, the cleanest example with the best maintenance record is usually the one worth paying a little more for.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Camry comes in L, LE, XLE, SE, and XSE, and the biggest split is between standard and sporty styling. The base-oriented trims are the best value path, while the XSE adds a more upscale, sportier feel but also exposes some of the model’s styling and material compromises.
• Powertrain: You can choose a 203-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder or an available 301-horsepower 3.5-liter V6. The 4-cylinder is the sensible daily-driver choice, while the V6 brings the strongest performance and the most engaging driving character.
• Safety package: Every Camry gets Toyota Safety Sense with adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Lower trims use standard headlights that are rated Acceptable rather than Good.
• Infotainment: The Camry uses Entune 3.0 with Apple CarPlay, a 6-month/2GB WiFi Connect subscription, and a Qi-compatible wireless charging pad. Android Auto is not included.
• Fuel efficiency: The hybrid is described as delivering excellent gas mileage and adding up to 20 miles per gallon over the non-hybrid, but the standard 4-cylinder is the value-focused choice if you want to avoid the hybrid’s higher starting price.

Which 2019 Toyota Camry trim should I buy?

The 2019 Toyota Camry is offered in 5 trim levels: L, LE, XLE, SE, and XSE.

Here's the short version:

• L: This is the most basic path into the Camry lineup, but the review points buyers toward LE at a minimum for the best value.
• LE: This is the best-value trim because it keeps the standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder and gives you the sensible equipment balance most shoppers want.
• XLE: This is the upscale choice if you want a more premium-feeling Camry without chasing the sportiest setup.
• SE: This is the sportier mainstream trim if you want a more expressive look and feel without stepping all the way up to the top end.
• XSE: This is the most dramatic and entertaining version, especially with the V6, but it is not the recommended value pick.

Toyota’s standard Safety Sense suite is on every trim, though the lower trims use standard headlights that are rated Acceptable instead of Good.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Toyota Camry?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,126 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.53% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,993, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $18,890 sits slightly below last year's $19,380.

That softer pricing suggests the Camry is still accessible on the used market, which can help future sellers attract attention if they keep the car in strong condition. The current trend also shows that buyers are still willing to pay meaningful money for a well-kept example, especially one with a clean history and desirable equipment. If you buy smart now and maintain it well, you should have a solid shot at holding value better than a neglected example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Toyota Camry safe?

The 2019 Toyota Camry earns five-star ratings in every NHTSA assessment, including rollover resistance, and it also earns a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense is standard, and it includes adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high-beam headlights. Toyota also includes Safety Connect for the first three years of ownership, adding automatic collision notification, SOS emergency calling, and roadside-assistance access. One caveat is that the lane-departure warning can become irritating in everyday driving, and lower trims use headlights that are rated Acceptable rather than Good.

Should I buy a 2019 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong safety with a free scheduled maintenance plan and a 6-cylinder option.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $17,809, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $18,890 average.
• It emphasizes dependable everyday transportation with bold styling.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $20,006, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,890 average.
• It adds all-wheel drive and the TRD performance variant.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the right pick if you want a strong mix of safety, value, and available V6 power. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2018 can save you money, while the 2020 makes sense if you want the newer updates and are willing to pay more.
