Is the 2019 Tesla Model S a good car?

Yes — the 4.67/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its fantastic performance, spacious interior, and innovative technology, and they also like its speed and efficiency. For you, that makes it a compelling choice if you want a used luxury electric sedan that feels spacious, fast, and tech-forward. With 35.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Tesla Model S reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to dependable day-to-day appeal through its speed, efficiency, and overall ownership experience, with many drivers describing the car positively over time. That said, charging time comes up as a common downside, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers is less about mechanical drama and more about making sure the car’s condition and charging behavior fit your routine.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Tesla Model S?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a full history report and a careful pre-purchase inspection, especially because condition matters a lot on a used EV with this much technology. Focus on signs of prior damage, charging-related wear, and overall cosmetic and mechanical condition so you know exactly what you’re getting before you commit.

What is the 2019 Tesla Model S's resale value?

The current average of $29,090 sits slightly above last year's $28,754.

That modest increase suggests the market has held up reasonably well, which can help support resale confidence if you buy at the right price. The year-round range also gives you a useful benchmark: if you purchase near the low end, you may have a better chance of preserving value when it’s time to sell. Strong demand for well-kept examples should help, especially when the car’s technology and performance remain appealing to used shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Tesla Model S or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 79.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.17% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Model S that blends strong range, advanced tech, and a well-regarded ownership experience, the 2019 is the primary year to target. If your main goal is to spend less, a nearby older year may be worth a look, but you’ll want to balance that savings against the 2019’s stronger overall appeal and market demand.
