How much does the 2019 Tesla Model 3 cost?

Is the 2019 Tesla Model 3 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Tesla Model 3 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its impressive technology, performance, comfort, efficiency, and smooth driving experience, and the model’s minimalist, software-driven approach makes it especially appealing if you want an EV that feels different from a conventional car. For buyers who value a compact electric sedan with low running costs and a refined everyday driving feel, it fits that use case well. 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Tesla Model 3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, with praise centered on the car’s long-term appeal, efficiency, and smooth operation. That said, the unusual controls and features can take some adjustment, so your ownership experience may depend on how comfortable you are with Tesla’s software-first design. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the core appeal and more about making sure the specific car has been cared for properly and still feels consistent in daily use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Tesla Model 3?

At 74.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the body, interior, and major systems so you can judge overall condition rather than relying on photos alone. Because this model’s appeal depends heavily on its technology and driving feel, you’ll want to focus on how well everything works in real-world use.

What is the 2019 Tesla Model 3's resale value?

The current average of $20,874 sits slightly above last year's $20,143.

That price movement suggests the model has held buyer interest well, which can help support future resale value if you decide to sell later. Because the market is still showing steady demand, a well-kept example should remain relatively easy to position against other used EVs. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep attention on the model, especially among shoppers looking for a compact electric sedan with a distinctive driving experience. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Tesla Model 3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.63% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, current market availability, and a well-established used price point, the 2019 is a sensible primary choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced alternative gives you a better value without giving up the core Tesla experience.
