How much does the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek cost?

Prices have softened 6.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,760 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek earns a 4.75/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its safety features, interior comfort, and enjoyable driving experience, and the model’s practical small-crossover layout makes it appealing if you want everyday usability with all-weather confidence. With 32.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also describes the Crosstrek as reliable and enjoyable to drive, with dependable day-to-day manners that help it fit into long-term ownership. That kind of reputation matters when you’re shopping used, because a vehicle that inspires confidence over time is usually easier to live with after the sale. For you, the main risk is buying a neglected example, so condition and maintenance history should carry real weight.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Subaru Crosstrek?

At 69% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records or other red flags. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive or the seller’s maintenance details are thin. Focus your evaluation on overall condition, signs of prior bodywork, and how well the car has been maintained over time.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Subaru Crosstrek?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,760 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 69.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $16,819, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek's resale value?

The current average of $17,314 sits slightly below last year's $18,599.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to resell later, the current trend means your future value will depend heavily on how well you preserve the car’s condition and mileage. A clean history and strong maintenance record should matter more when the market is already showing some price pressure.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Subaru Crosstrek or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 69% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $16,014, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $17,314 average.
• It emphasizes rugged practicality and a durable, high-riding feel.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around used-car value proposition, the 2019 is the better primary choice because it combines solid owner satisfaction with a meaningful number of deal-priced listings. If your budget is tighter, the 2018 is the better secondary path because it costs less and still delivers the Crosstrek’s core practicality.
