Overview

The Rolls-Royce Dawn, a 4-passenger luxury coupe, was first introduced in 2015. For 2019, Rolls-Royce introduces the Black Badge Adamas collection. Just 30 Dawns will be produced specifically for the Black Badge Adamas Collection, alongside 40 examples of the Rolls-Royce Wraith.
The Dawn features Rolls-Royce’s smooth lines, wide fenders fitted over standard 20-inch wheels, and distinctive broad front and rear ends. The single-touch power roof opens in 20 seconds. There are 44,000 different exterior colors available. Black Badge models get 21-inch carbon fiber wheels and a black Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament. The Black Badge Adamas stands out even more thanks to a bold black grille surround and the most ornate version ever of the Spirit of Ecstasy, which is made from carbon fiber.
The Rolls-Royce Dawn comes with a twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels. The Dawn is rated for 563 horsepower and 575 pound-feet of torque. Black Badge models are tuned for 593 hp and 620 lb-ft. EPA ratings come in at 12 mpg city, 18 highway, and 14 combined for the Dawn, but separate figures for the higher-powered Black Badge models are not available. A self-adjusting suspension system ensures a smooth ride.
The front occupants of the Rolls-Royce Dawn get high-bolstered bucket seats with massage capabilities, while the wide, contoured rear bench provides seating for two. Interior options include different colors of leather, contrast stitching and piping, Rolls-Royce logo or custom logo hand-stitched embroidery on the headrests, and hand-finished wood grain veneer. A proximity key comes standard. Dawn Black Badge models get Piano Black veneer and orange accents throughout. Spring for the Adamas for pearlescent leather upholstery, a choice of blue-black or red-black color schemes, 88 laboratory-grown black diamonds on the dashboard clock, illuminated door sill plates, and the first-ever color version of the Rolls-Royce Starlight Headliner, which features 1,340 fiber optic lights.
The Dawn’s infotainment system is based on a 10.3-inch LED display controlled by a dial and a touch pad and includes navigation. The AM/FM radio, HD Radio, satellite radio, and a CD player with MP3 compatibility come standard, and the optional Bespoke audio system provides 18 speakers. Features such as built-in Wi-Fi, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay are not supported.
The Rolls-Royce Dawn has not been crash tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Standard active safety features include a reversing camera, adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, night vision, a head-up display, and lane-departure warning.
The Rolls-Royce Dawn, with its emphasis on power, elegance, and the exclusivity of bespoke construction, is little more than a daydream for most car buyers. The 2019 Black Badge Adamas collection goes above and beyond in reinforcing this convertible’s prestigious positioning.

Surprisingly the Rolls Royce doesn’t have the safety features of other luxury cars like the Bentley Flying Spur and doesn’t have a SBU port to charge you phone.
