Used 2019 RAM 2500 for Sale near New Jersey

How much does the 2019 RAM 2500 cost?

Prices have softened 8.15% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,670 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and conditions.

Is the 2019 RAM 2500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.6/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the truck’s performance, comfort, and towing capability, and they also highlight the upscale interior and strong value for the features offered. For you, that makes it especially appealing if you want a heavy-duty truck that can work hard while still feeling refined. With 29.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 RAM 2500 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also emphasizes dependable performance, with owners repeatedly calling out the Cummins diesel, smooth ride quality, and overall capability in long-term use. That combination suggests the truck can be a confident choice if you want something you can count on for towing and daily work. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying too much for a truck that has been worked hard without proper maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 RAM 2500?

At 70.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the truck has towing or commercial-use mileage. Put inspection priority on frame, suspension, steering feel, and signs of heavy-duty wear, since those areas matter most on a truck like this. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records so you can separate a well-kept example from one that has been used hard.

Trucks with strong owner satisfaction tend to stay in demand, especially when they’re known for capability and comfort.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 RAM 2500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 70.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.15% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $38,691, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $36,022 average.
• It adds a more luxurious and innovative feel with stronger upscale appeal.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2019 if you want a strong mix of capability, comfort, and a lower entry price. If you’re price-sensitive, the 2019 is the better value path; if you want the newer truck’s added polish and can stretch your budget, the 2020 is worth considering.
