Used 2019 Nissan Altima for Sale nearAurora, CO

How much does the 2019 Nissan Altima cost?

Prices have softened 9.94% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,308 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Nissan Altima a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Nissan Altima earns a 4.88/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating.

The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the smooth drive, advanced tech features, and stylish design. They also highlight the comfortable seating and responsive handling, which makes the car feel easy to live with day to day.

The trade-offs are fairly pedestrian performance and a design that may not appeal to everyone. Even so, the Altima’s all-new-for-2019 redesign, premium interior materials, and easy-to-use technology make it a strong fit if you want a comfortable, tech-friendly midsize sedan rather than a sporty one.

29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2019 Nissan Altima reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with owners repeatedly emphasizing that they felt they made a great choice. The review summary also points to comfort and smooth driving as part of the car’s appeal, which usually matters when you’re counting on a daily driver for the long haul.

The Altima’s straightforward infotainment and standard driver-assistance features also support an easy ownership experience. Nissan’s emphasis on simple controls and useful tech helps the car feel less complicated to live with over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Nissan Altima?

At 54.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has had prior damage or multiple owners. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the features you want are actually present on the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The S comes with Zero Gravity seats, push-button start, an 8-way power driver’s seat, four USB ports, satellite radio, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Higher trims add features such as 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, heated seats, leather seating, Bose audio, navigation, and a 360-degree surround-view monitor, so the base car is the most stripped-down version.
• Powertrain: The standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder makes 188 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque, while the available turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder is the higher-feature engine. Both pair with a CVT, and the car can be front-wheel drive or available AWD.
• Safety package: ProPilot Assist is standard on the SV, SL, and Platinum trims, while forward-collision warning and driver-alertness monitoring are standard on every Altima. ProPilot Assist adds partially autonomous driving functions, including speed matching and steering inputs to help keep the car in its lane.
• Infotainment: The Altima uses NissanConnect with an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 7-inch color Drive Assist display. The system is designed to be straightforward, with hard buttons and dials below the screen for easier use.
• Fuel efficiency: The 2.5-liter engine returns 28 mpg city, 39 highway, and 32 combined, while AWD drops that to 25 city, 35 highway, and 29 combined. The turbocharged 2.0-liter is expected to return 25 city, 34 highway, and 29 combined.

Which 2019 Nissan Altima trim should I buy?

The 2019 Nissan Altima is offered in 5 trim levels: S, SR, SV, SL, Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• S: This is the value-focused starting point, and it already gives you the core Altima experience with comfortable Zero Gravity seats, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a strong set of standard convenience features. If you want the lowest entry price and can live without luxury extras, this is the trim to start with.
• SR: This trim adds a sportier look with 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, a rear spoiler, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters. It suits you if you want more style and a little more visual presence without jumping all the way to the top of the range.
• SV: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds a lot of useful equipment, including heated seats, a heated steering wheel, a power moonroof, automatic climate control, adaptive cruise control, and Intelligent Climate Control. It also gets ProPilot Assist, which makes it the sweet spot if you want the most content for the money.
• SL: This trim leans more upscale with leather seating, a 9-speaker Bose sound system, navigation with live traffic updates, and a power front-passenger seat. Choose it if you want a more premium cabin and are willing to pay for it.
• Platinum: This is the most fully equipped Altima, with 19-inch wheels, memory settings for the driver’s seat, a 360-degree surround-view monitor, and interior accent lighting. It makes sense if you want the most features and the most polished feel.

ProPilot Assist is standard on the SV, SL, and Platinum trims, while forward-collision warning and driver-alertness monitoring are standard on every Altima.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Nissan Altima?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward careful shoppers.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,308 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.94% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,580, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Nissan Altima's resale value?

The current average of $13,580 sits slightly below last year's $15,078.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can be good news if you’re buying now but less favorable if you’re planning to sell soon. A softer price environment usually means future resale gains may be limited unless demand strengthens.

For a seller, the key takeaway is that the Altima is currently priced in a way that may help it remain accessible to used shoppers. That can support turnover, but it also means you should expect competition from similarly priced sedans.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Nissan Altima safe?

The 2019 Nissan Altima earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety features include front- and side-impact airbags, traction control, vehicle dynamics control, and a reversing camera. Nissan also makes forward-collision warning and driver-alertness monitoring standard on every Altima, while ProPilot Assist is standard on the SV, SL, and Platinum trims.

ProPilot Assist adds partially autonomous driving functions, including speed matching with traffic and steering inputs to help keep the car centered in its lane. That makes the higher trims especially appealing if you want more driver assistance.

Should I buy a 2019 Nissan Altima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.94% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 is all-new and brings premium interior materials plus easy-to-use technology.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $14,242, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $13,580 average.
• Nissan Safety Shield 360 becomes more widely available.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2019 is the stronger buy because pricing has softened and inventory is healthy. If you’re willing to pay more for broader safety availability, the 2020 is the better secondary path for safety-focused shoppers.
