How much does the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA cost?

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. The overview describes it as a compact luxury sedan that blends style, technology, and everyday usability, with a comfortable ride and a cabin packed with tech. It is especially appealing if you want a small luxury car with a polished driving experience and a premium feel, though it is less compelling if you prioritize maximum practicality or value. With 35.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests the CLA’s appeal comes from its comfortable ride, upscale cabin, and premium character rather than rugged simplicity. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about accepting its less practical layout and higher ownership costs than expecting a basic, low-maintenance experience.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any promising listing and confirm whether prior damage was repaired properly. Put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your checklist, especially for signs of bodywork, uneven panel gaps, or interior wear that could hint at harder use. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since this model’s premium positioning makes repair quality and upkeep especially important.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.56% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,921, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA's resale value?

The current average of $15,923 sits slightly below last year's $17,803.

That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. Because the CLA is positioned as a premium small luxury car, buyers will likely continue to reward clean examples with strong presentation and complete records.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $21,361, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $15,923 average.
• Mercedes redesigned it for 2020, giving it coupe-like styling and a more dramatic performance-luxury feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2019 is the smarter starting point because pricing has softened and inventory is available. If you’re willing to pay more for the redesigned look and a more dramatic presentation, the 2020 is the better secondary path for buyers who care more about style than savings.
