Used 2019 Mazda CX-3 for Sale nearSaint Louis, MO

How much does the 2019 Mazda CX-3 cost?

Prices have softened 4.24% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 231 listings available, which suggests you have a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Mazda CX-3 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Mazda CX-3 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its sporty, fun driving character, stylish design, and great gas mileage. The review summary also points to a premium-feeling cabin and a more refined character than you might expect from a small crossover.

The trade-offs are clear: it is cramped inside, especially for taller passengers, and it is not especially practical for cargo or rear-seat use. That lines up with the overview, which frames this as a crossover you choose for style and driving enjoyment rather than maximum utility.

With 29.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is a decent amount of market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Mazda CX-3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for the car’s performance and the confidence buyers seem to have in it over time. The expert evaluation also describes it as a vehicle you can count on for enjoyable daily driving, even if it is not built for maximum practicality.

Mazda also emphasizes a smoother, more refined driving experience for 2019, which supports the sense that the CX-3 is a solid long-term companion. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about durability and more about whether the car’s limited space and modest power will still suit your needs after purchase.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Mazda CX-3?

At 60.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the car’s compact cabin and cargo limitations still work for your day-to-day needs.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring are the three trims. The higher trims add a more upscale look and feel, with Grand Touring bringing full leather upholstery, a Bose sound system, navigation, and more premium touches. The base trim is the one most likely to feel sparse if you want a richer cabin experience.
• Powertrain: A 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 148 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, and an optional predictive all-wheel-drive system can send power rearward before slip is felt.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard. Sport and Touring can be equipped with iActiveSense packages, while Grand Touring gets adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, all-speed forward emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and adaptive high-beam headlights.
• Infotainment: Mazda Connect uses a 7-inch touchscreen, center-console controls, and voice commands. It includes navigation and a Bose 7-speaker sound system in Grand Touring, but it does not include Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: The FWD model is rated at 29 mpg city, 34 highway, 31 combined, while AWD drops to 27, 32, 29. In testing, the CX-3 returned 29.2 mpg on a loop.

Which 2019 Mazda CX-3 trim should I buy?

The 2019 Mazda CX-3 is offered in 3 trim levels: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, and it makes the CX-3’s style, nimble handling, and standard blind-spot monitoring accessible at the lowest price. It suits you best if you want the core driving experience and can live without the richer cabin upgrades.
• Touring: This is the best-value choice if you want a better balance of equipment and price. It builds on the base trim with more comfort and convenience while keeping the CX-3’s appealing driving character intact.
• Grand Touring: This is the trim to choose if you want the most upscale CX-3 experience. It adds leather upholstery, navigation, a Bose audio system, paddle shifters, and standard adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, making it the most complete version.

For safety, the iActiveSense packages are available on Sport and Touring, while Grand Touring includes the key driver-assistance features as standard.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Mazda CX-3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 231 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,712, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Mazda CX-3's resale value?

The current average of $15,948 sits slightly below last year's $16,654.

That softer pricing suggests the CX-3 has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you purchase near the lower end of the range, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it comes time to sell.

The model’s appeal to style-focused shoppers also helps support demand, especially for well-kept examples with desirable equipment. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 Mazda CX-3 safe?

The 2019 Mazda CX-3 earns a five-star overall rating in federal government crash tests.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard equipment includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and Mazda’s iActiveSense packages add driver-assistance and collision-avoidance technology on Sport and Touring. Grand Touring makes the adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, forward emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and adaptive high-beam headlights standard.

One caveat is that the crash-test review notes elevated potential for thoracic injury in the left rear-seat dummy during a side-impact pole test.

Should I buy a 2019 Mazda CX-3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Expert highlight: it delivers a more polished, upscale feel while staying especially fun to drive.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,182, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $15,948 average.
• It adds standard safety features and a more comfortable cabin than before.

The bottom line: Choose the 2019 if you want the sharper styling and engaging driving feel, especially when you find a clean, well-priced example. If your priority is saving money first, the 2018 is the better value path, provided its condition and equipment meet your needs.
