The Maserati Quattroporte, a sporty luxury sedan, features a sleek design and distinctive sound. Competitors include more mainstream luxury sedans such as the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The Quattroporte sees minor updates for 2019 and gets a new limited edition, Edizione Nobile, with 50 examples available.

The muscular and graceful sedan gets new color options and two new wheel designs for 2019. GranLusso adds chrome exterior trim, and GranSport keeps the trim in body color; both feature 20-inch alloy wheels. The new Edizione Nobile gets new Blu Nobile tri-coat paint, 20-inch alloys, and silver brake calipers. Last year’s Nerissimo package, which features black trim and dark LED headlights, is still available with new exterior colors and new dark-colored wheels.

The Quattroporte is available with one of three powertrain packages, all of which are assembled by Ferrari: S, SQ4, and GTS. The S and SQ4 both feature a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine rated for 424 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque. The S trim is rear-wheel drive (RWD), and the SQ4 gets all-wheel drive (AWD). For more power, check out the GTS, which gets a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 with 523 hp and 524 lb-ft, but comes only in RWD. For 2019, all powertrains get updated with a new gearshift lever for better ergonomics, and an 8-speed transmission that can be driven in automatic or manual mode.

The same three trim levels designate the interior appointments. Base features leather upholstery, heated front seats, and LED headlights and taillights. The GranSport package adds sport seats, a sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, and piano black trim. GranLusso offers power-adjustable pedals and premium wood trim. For 2019, there are two new high-gloss interior trims and Pieno Fiore leather is available in three colors on the GranSport and GranLusso trims. The limited Edizione Nobile adds high-gloss Rovere wood trim and exclusive badging on the center console. Other options include heated rear seats, quad-zone climate control, and folding rear tables.

For 2019, Maserati updated the Quattroporte’s infotainment system with better graphics on the 8.4-inch touchscreen display and a more user-friendly design for the climate control system. The system includes a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, satellite radio, Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Options include a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system and a rear-seat entertainment system.

Standard features on the 2019 model include a reversing camera, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. Options include a 360-degree surround-view camera, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, traffic-sign recognition, and pedestrian recognition.
