overall

Summary
With 240 currently listed for sale and an average price of $26,575.00, 32.5% of 2019 Maserati Levantes for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Maserati Levante 5 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.5 / 10.

Why it stands out
The 2019 Maserati Levante stands out as a luxury performance SUV with a distinctly Italian personality. It is described as “the Ferrari of SUVs,” and its appeal comes from the combination of stylish design and special trimmings that give it a character different from the usual luxury crossover formula. As Maserati’s first crossover, it also carries extra significance for the brand, making it a more emotional and less conventional choice for buyers who want an SUV with flair.
That character comes with tradeoffs. The Levante is presented as an imperfect but not improper Maserati, and its drawbacks include a cramped back seat, not much cargo space, and outdated technology. Even so, the availability of multiple powertrain options broadens its appeal, and the overall package is aimed at shoppers who value style and individuality as much as performance and prestige.

This is the most underrated vehicle in the market today. Shame on all the YouTube car reviewers. This vehicle is a sleeper. Not only is it beautiful to look at, it drives so smooth and has lots of power. I own a Trofeo and let me tell you, it blows the doors off its competition. It might not be techie for all the nerds out there, but it has more class and sexy appeal than any other automaker out there today.

Is the 2019 Maserati Levante reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The Levante is described as an imperfect but not improper Maserati, with a chassis shared only with Maserati models and no other FCA brand. Its performance character is reinforced by hand-built engines and a hydraulic steering setup that delivers clear road feedback and natural weighting. The tech suite is solid in everyday use, but some features are not class-leading, and the overall package leans more toward emotion than low-maintenance practicality.
The Levante's ownership risk is mainly about living with an exotic, high-character SUV that prioritizes feel and exclusivity over easygoing everyday simplicity.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Maserati Levante?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the vehicle has had expensive options or driver-assistance equipment added. Focus on interior wear, cargo practicality, and whether the technology and controls work the way you expect in daily use. Because this model leans heavily on style and performance, condition matters more than mileage alone.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The GranLusso test car emphasizes upscale materials such as leather, microsuede, and available silk trim, while the base model is positioned more simply and lacks some of the richer presentation that makes the Levante feel special.
- Powertrain: The Levante offers four engine choices built around either a 3.0-liter V6 or a 3.8-liter V8, all with twin turbos, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. The base V6 makes 345 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, while the S steps up to 424 hp and 428 lb-ft.
- Safety package: Driver-assistance systems are optional, including forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
- Infotainment: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with USB ports, live traffic, and voice recognition for map searches. The system is good, but the overall tech presentation is held back by missing features such as wireless device charging.
- Fuel efficiency: The V6 returned 15 miles per gallon in mixed driving, matching its EPA city rating, with 21 mpg highway and 17 mpg combined cited for the model.
Which 2019 Maserati Levante trim should I buy?
The 2019 Maserati Levante is offered in 4 trim levels: Levante, S, GTS, Trofeo.
Here's the short version:
- Levante: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Levante experience with the 345-horsepower V6, all-wheel drive, and the same dramatic styling that defines the model. It makes sense if you want the least expensive way into the lineup, but it is also the trim most likely to leave you wanting more of the special equipment that makes the Levante feel truly exotic.
- S: This is the best-value trim. It steps up to 424 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque, and the test car's GranLusso setup shows how well the Levante works when you add richer materials and a more upscale cabin presentation. If you want the sweet spot between performance, luxury feel, and price, this is the one to target.
- GTS: This trim moves into much more serious performance territory with a 550-horsepower V8. It suits you if you want the Levante's character dialed up and are willing to pay for the extra power and exclusivity.
- Trofeo: This is the top-end choice, with a 590-horsepower V8 and the most extreme version of the Levante's performance-first personality. Buy it if you want the most powerful and most exclusive version, not if you are shopping for value.
Driver-assistance features remain optional, so check carefully whether the specific vehicle you are considering includes the safety equipment you want.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Maserati Levante?
The market looks moderately favorable if you are a selective buyer.
- Deal availability: 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 241 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.86% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 82.2% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $25,847.42, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Maserati Levante's resale value?
The current average of $26,252 sits slightly below last year's $29,124.
That price movement suggests the Levante has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. Because the model has a distinct identity and strong enthusiast appeal, demand may hold better than a more ordinary luxury SUV when the vehicle is well equipped and well kept. Still, resale will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how desirable the specific trim and options are.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2019 Maserati Levante safe?
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
The Levante has not been rated by NHTSA or IIHS since its debut, so there are no public crash-test results to cite here. Driver-assistance systems are optional, including forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control. Because those features are not standard, you should verify exactly which safety equipment is installed on the used vehicle you are considering.
Should I buy a 2019 Maserati Levante or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 28.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 9.86% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2019 model year stands out for its luxury performance character, multiple powertrain options, and exotic interior appointments.
The bottom line: If you want the Levante's most distinctive mix of style, performance, and exclusivity, the 2019 is the right year to focus on. If your priority is simply the lowest possible price, you can shop carefully and use the softened market to your advantage, but you should still favor the best-maintained example you can find over chasing the cheapest listing.
