Is the 2019 Lexus NX a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Lexus NX earns a 4.92/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable interior, and impressive features, and many also call out its fun-to-drive feel and safety equipment. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a compact luxury SUV with a premium look and a value-oriented ownership experience. With 39.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2019 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.92/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Reviewers repeatedly describe the NX as dependable and highlight its strong reliability reputation, along with a comfortable cabin and useful safety features. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used luxury SUV you can count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Lexus NX?

At 61.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on bodywork, alignment, and signs of uneven wear that can point to past damage or poor repairs. It also helps to focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a clean, well-kept example is the safest way to protect yourself in a market where not every listing is accident-free.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lexus NX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 831 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.66% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,034, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $23,847 sits slightly below last year's $24,498.

That softer pricing suggests the NX is in a more buyer-friendly phase right now, which can help you if you’re shopping used but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. Even so, the model’s strong owner satisfaction and premium appeal should help it stay relevant with shoppers who want a stylish luxury crossover. If you buy well and keep the vehicle in good condition, you should be in a better position to preserve value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.92/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 39.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.92/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a smart choice if you want the NX’s distinctive styling, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers some pricing flexibility. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
