With 824 currently listed for sale and an average price of $23,644, 36.9% of 2019 Lexus NX listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Lexus NX 4.9 / 5 stars.

Why it stands out
The 2019 Lexus NX stands out for its distinctive styling and upscale feel. Lexus gave the NX an angular exterior with a dramatic spindle grille, and the model’s overall look was described as one of the most striking in the class. It also brought a luxury-minded interior and a choice of powertrains that helped set it apart from many rivals, including a four-cylinder gas engine and a gas/electric hybrid. That combination of design and efficiency is a big part of the NX’s appeal, especially for buyers who want something that feels premium without blending into the crowd.
For 2019, the NX also benefited from the updates introduced for the 2018 model year, including restyled bumpers and headlamp inserts, equipment upgrades, a larger infotainment display, and the addition of Lexus Safety System+ as standard. That safety suite included a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane-departure alert, lane-keep assist systems, radar cruise control, and intelligent high-beam headlamps. The NX 300h also had AWD as standard by this point. These changes make the 2019 NX feel well equipped and reassuring, even if the model still asks buyers to accept some compromises.
Those compromises are worth noting. The NX was not especially generous with standard equipment, and many desirable features were bundled into option packs. It was also described as not as good to drive as some rivals, and non-hybrid versions were not great for fuel economy. Even so, the NX’s strong reliability reputation, distinctive design, and available hybrid efficiency make it an appealing used luxury crossover for shoppers who value dependability and style.

Absolutely gorgeous car inside and out. It is a compact suv with a lot of room and agility. It doesn’t feel big and bulky it feels light, modern and luxurious. I love the sporty outside look, the leather interior and all of the dainty and elegant features inside. It also has a whole bunch of safety features that I love (lane departure notice, notifies you through the mirrors if there is a car on the side, and of course the efficient back up camera among others) . The only thing I would count as a con is that it requires premium gas. I highly recommend this beautiful car.

How much does the 2019 Lexus NX cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $23,606 |
| Year-Round Low | $23,035 |
| Year-Round High | $24,442 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $24,289 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −2.81% |
Prices have softened 2.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 812 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.
Is the 2019 Lexus NX a good car?
Yes — the 2019 Lexus NX earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise its stylish design, comfortable interior, and impressive features, and many also call out its fun-to-drive feel and safety equipment. That lines up well with the NX’s appeal as a premium compact SUV for you if you want something distinctive, upscale, and practical enough for everyday use. With 39.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive price.
Is the 2019 Lexus NX reliable?
Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
Reviewers describe it as dependable and highlight the kind of ownership experience that feels trouble-free and easy to count on over the long term. That matters if you want a used luxury SUV that should feel reassuring rather than risky. For you as a used buyer, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been well maintained.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Lexus NX?
At 61.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs of repair quality so you can avoid paying premium money for a vehicle with hidden issues.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Lexus NX?
This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 812 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.81% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 61.8% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $23,035, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Lexus NX's resale value?
The current average of $23,606 sits slightly below last year's $24,289.
That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can help you if you're shopping now but may limit upside if you're thinking about short-term resale. Even so, the NX’s premium image and steady demand should help it remain recognizable in the used market. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintenance documented, you should be in a better position when it comes time to sell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Lexus NX or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 39.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 61.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.81% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2019 is a smart choice if you want the NX’s distinctive styling, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers some deal potential. If your top priority is finding the lowest possible price, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and asking price.
