Is the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport a good car?

Generally — the 4.2/5 user rating points to solid owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its powerful performance, luxurious features, comfort, and smooth ride, and the overview also frames it as a strong fit if you want a luxury SUV with serious off-road credibility and a more performance-focused personality. That said, it is best suited to you if you value refinement and capability enough to accept the higher ownership costs that come with this model. With 37.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport reliable?

Owners rate it 4.2/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a generally positive ownership experience, with drivers highlighting the SUV’s powerful performance and luxurious feel. The same feedback also suggests that many owners find it comfortable and smooth on the road, while reliability concerns tend to center more on maintenance and condition in used examples than on day-to-day enjoyment. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is less about whether the vehicle feels desirable and more about whether the specific example has been cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

At 74.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and service patterns before you commit. A pre-purchase inspection should be a priority, especially on a luxury SUV where repair costs can escalate quickly if prior damage or deferred maintenance is hiding underneath the surface. Focus closely on overall condition, because the used-market experience here depends heavily on how well the individual vehicle has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,128 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 74.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,651, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport's resale value?

The current average of $25,653 sits slightly below last year's $30,251.

That decline suggests the market has become more favorable for buyers, but it also means you should expect some depreciation pressure if you plan to resell later. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that this model year is not currently commanding the same pricing strength it did a year ago, so timing and condition will matter more when you go to sell. Well-kept examples should still attract attention from shoppers who want the Range Rover Sport’s mix of luxury and capability.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 74.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.20% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $29,307, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $25,653 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid setup that improves efficiency while keeping the Range Rover Sport’s upscale character.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2019 is the stronger primary path because pricing has eased and inventory is broad enough to shop carefully. If you are willing to pay more for the next year’s efficiency-focused upgrade, the 2020 is the better secondary path for buyers who prioritize that added technology and fuel-saving appeal.
