How much does the 2019 Kia Sportage cost?

There are 1,594 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and conditions.

Is the 2019 Kia Sportage a good car?

Yes — the 2019 Kia Sportage earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, comfortable cabin, and spacious interior, and many also like the good handling and upscale feel for the class. It fits well if you want a practical compact SUV with a comfortable daily-driving character and family-friendly space. With 31.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of opportunities to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Kia Sportage reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners repeatedly highlighting comfort and a trouble-free feel in everyday use. That kind of long-term praise matters because it suggests the Sportage can be a vehicle you count on for regular commuting and family duty. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained well and not worn down by prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Kia Sportage?

At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you commit. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive or the vehicle has higher mileage. Focus on overall condition, since a clean-looking Sportage can still hide wear from prior damage, repairs, or heavy daily use.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Kia Sportage?

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they shop carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,594 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $12,976, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Kia Sportage's resale value?

The current average of $13,025 sits slightly below last year's $14,189.

That price movement suggests the Sportage has become more affordable for buyers, but it also means a future seller may face a softer market than a year ago. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can help protect your resale position. The current spread between the yearly low and high also shows that well-priced examples still have room to attract attention.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.20% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2019 Kia Sportage makes the most sense if you want a comfortable, well-liked compact SUV and you can verify condition carefully before buying. If your priority is stretching your budget, this year is still appealing because prices have eased and deal availability is decent; if you want the cleanest possible example, be prepared to compare several listings and pay close attention to history and inspection results.
