Why it stands out
The 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a well-rounded midsize SUV that excels both on and off the road. It features a variety of powerful engine options, with the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 295 horsepower, and available upgrades, including a 707-hp supercharged V8 in the Trackhawk variant. This model stands out for its impressive off-road capability combined with on-road comfort, appealing to buyers who want versatility in their vehicle. Interior space is ample for passengers, although some compromises in materials have been noted. Despite its aging design, the Grand Cherokee continues to deliver with modern technology features, including advanced driver-assistance systems that enhance safety on the road. However, potential buyers should consider the SUV's mediocre fuel economy and its less-than-stellar crash test ratings when making their decision.
