How much does the 2019 INFINITI QX80 cost?

Prices have softened 13.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

Is the 2019 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 INFINITI QX80 earns a 4.62/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, smooth ride, luxurious features, spacious interior, and stylish design. That lines up with the QX80’s use case as a large, comfort-first luxury SUV with traditional presence and strong capability.

With 37.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback points to a dependable-feeling ownership experience, with praise centered on powerful performance, smooth ride quality, and a comfortable, spacious cabin that owners seem happy to live with over time. The expert drive notes also emphasize that the QX80’s body-on-frame construction and strong towing hardware are built for sustained heavy-duty use.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that this is an older luxury SUV with expensive fuel use and some reported finish-quality concerns, so condition matters a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 INFINITI QX80?

At 68.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on body condition, paint quality, and signs of prior repair. Because this is a large, older luxury SUV, you’ll want to focus on how well the cabin, electronics, and drivetrain have aged rather than just the odometer reading.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Limited adds two-tone 22-inch rims, unique gray metallic paint, stainless steel running boards, and a special black-and-white interior with microsuede inserts and extensive leather trim, while the Luxe is the more straightforward starting point.
• Powertrain: The QX80 uses a 5.6-liter V8 with 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic and a low-range transfer case; rear-wheel drive is standard on Luxe, while selectable 4-wheel drive is optional on Luxe and standard on Limited.
• Safety package: Forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection comes standard, while lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring are optional.
• Infotainment: The touchscreen is controlled by a rotary knob, but Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are missing, and the system lacks the modern polish you’d expect in this class.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA rates it at 13 mpg city, 19 highway, and 15 combined with 4WD, and 14/20/16 with RWD.

Which 2019 INFINITI QX80 trim should I buy?

The 2019 INFINITI QX80 is offered in 2 trim levels: Luxe and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Luxe: This is the trim to target if you want the QX80’s core strengths without paying top-dollar for the Limited’s cosmetic upgrades. It gives you the big V8, the traditional luxury-SUV feel, and the option to add 4WD if you need it.
• Limited: This is the most lavish version, with two-tone 22-inch wheels, unique paint, stainless running boards, and a special black-and-white cabin. It suits you if you want the richest presentation and are willing to pay for it.

Forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection comes standard, while lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring are optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 INFINITI QX80?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to make comparison shopping worthwhile.

• Deal availability: 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 627 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $20,969, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $20,969 sits slightly below last year's $24,102.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that this model year is pricing in its age and outdated tech, so condition and equipment will matter more than mileage alone. Well-kept examples with desirable features should hold up better than rougher ones, especially because shoppers in this segment still value comfort, presence, and capability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 INFINITI QX80 safe?

The 2019 INFINITI QX80 earns four-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with two-star ratings for the driver and three-star ratings for the passenger in frontal crash tests, and five-star ratings in side-impact tests.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection comes standard, while lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring are optional. The QX80’s older body structure is a notable caveat, and the available safety tech is not as comprehensive as what you’ll find in newer rivals.

Should I buy a 2019 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 37.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2019 brings a more lavish and pricier feel, with the Limited trim adding a richer interior and more distinctive appearance.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,358, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $20,969 average.
• It gets a more luxurious take on the Armada with premium accommodations that help it feel more differentiated.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2019 is the smarter starting point because prices have softened and the market still offers a decent number of listings. If you’re willing to spend more for a slightly more refined presentation, the 2020 is the better path, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2019 and shop carefully for condition and equipment.
