How much does the 2019 INFINITI QX80 cost?

Prices have softened 12.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 644 listings available, which gives you a workable pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2019 INFINITI QX80 a good car?

Yes — the 2019 INFINITI QX80 earns a 4.62/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Form and function.

Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, smooth ride, luxurious features, spacious interior, and stylish design. That lines up with the QX80’s use case as a large, comfort-first luxury SUV with a traditional feel and plenty of presence.

At the same time, the market shows 35.7% good or great deals, so you have some room to shop carefully rather than rush.

Is the 2019 INFINITI QX80 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.62/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable-feeling SUV with strong performance, a smooth ride, and a comfortable, spacious cabin that people can count on for everyday use. The expert notes also reinforce that it’s built around traditional full-size SUV hardware and capability, which supports a durable, long-haul ownership impression.

The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that its age and fuel costs can make upkeep less appealing than in newer rivals.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 INFINITI QX80?

At 68.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of bodywork, paint quality, and signs of prior repair. Because some owners have raised concerns about paint quality, condition checks matter as much as mileage and equipment. It also makes sense to confirm that the SUV’s luxury features and electronics work properly, since this is an older design with a lot of equipment to verify.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Luxe trim is the entry point, while the Limited adds two-tone 22-inch rims, unique grey metallic paint, stainless steel running boards, and a special black-and-white interior. The Limited feels the richest, but the base Luxe is the value play if you want the core QX80 experience without paying for the top trim’s extras.
• Powertrain: The QX80 uses a 5.6-liter V8 with 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 7-speed automatic and a low-range transfer case. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the Luxe, while selectable 4-wheel drive is optional on the Luxe and standard on the Limited.
• Safety package: Forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection comes standard. Lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring are optional.
• Infotainment: The touchscreen is controlled by a 4-axis rotary knob, but the system is dated. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are missing, and the display is small and hard to use compared with newer luxury SUVs.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA rates the QX80 at 13 mpg city, 19 highway, 15 combined with 4WD, and 14/20/16 with RWD. The expert also recorded an average of 15 mpg over 580 miles.

Which 2019 INFINITI QX80 trim should I buy?

The 2019 INFINITI QX80 is offered in 2 trim levels: Luxe and Limited.

Here's the short version:

• Luxe: This is the trim to target if you want the QX80’s core strengths at the lowest entry price. It gives you the standard V8, rear-wheel drive, and the option to add 4WD if you need it.
• Limited: This is the most luxurious version, with the richest interior treatment, 22-inch wheels, unique paint, and standard 4WD. It suits you if you want the most upscale QX80 and are willing to pay for it.

Forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection is standard, while lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring remain optional.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 INFINITI QX80?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 644 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 68.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,114, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 INFINITI QX80's resale value?

The current average of $21,167 sits slightly below last year's $24,227.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that this model year is already priced more conservatively than it was a year ago, so holding value will depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2019 INFINITI QX80 safe?

The 2019 QX80 earns four-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with two-star ratings for the driver and three-star ratings for the passenger in frontal crash tests, and five-star ratings in side-impact tests.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection comes standard, while lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, rear emergency braking, and blind-spot monitoring are optional. The IIHS has not tested this model, and the expert notes that its older body structure is not as strong as it should be.

Should I buy a 2019 INFINITI QX80 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the refreshed, more lavish look and the strong towing and V8 capability that define this generation.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $22,392, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $21,167 average.
• It feels more luxurious and more differentiated from the Armada.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2019 is the smarter buy because prices have eased and the core strengths are intact. If you’re willing to pay more for a slightly more polished feel, the 2020 is the better secondary path.
