How much does the 2019 Hyundai Tucson cost?

Prices have softened 5.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,269 listings available, which suggests you have a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers most often praise its spacious interior, great handling, and good value for money, and they also like the updated features and available luxury amenities. For you, that makes it a sensible pick if you want a compact SUV that emphasizes practicality and value rather than outright performance. The market also shows 33.8% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a dependable ownership experience centered on value, comfort, and everyday usability, with drivers repeatedly highlighting the Tucson’s spacious cabin and solid handling. That kind of feedback matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for regular commuting and family duty. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is finding a well-kept example that avoids the usual wear-and-tear issues that can come with a high-volume compact SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if a listing looks unusually well priced. Put inspection priority on bodywork, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair, then make sure the cabin, electronics, and mechanical condition match the seller’s description. Because this model is often bought for value, you’ll want to focus on overall condition rather than just the sticker price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Hyundai Tucson?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,269 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.61% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,148, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Hyundai Tucson's resale value?

The current average of $14,148 sits slightly below last year's $14,989.

That softer pricing suggests the Tucson is in a buyer-friendly phase right now, which can help you if you’re shopping used but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you can reduce the impact of that depreciation trend. Demand should remain reasonably steady because this model year still appeals to shoppers who want value, space, and a well-rounded compact SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Hyundai Tucson or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want a well-liked Tucson with a softer used-car price and enough inventory to compare carefully. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year could still be worth considering, but the 2019 gives you a strong mix of value, owner approval, and market availability.
