What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Fit?

At 58.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing photos or description leave any gaps about condition. Focus on signs of bodywork, uneven panel gaps, interior wear, and anything that suggests the car has been used harder than the mileage implies.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Fit?

This is a seller’s market, so you should act selectively and be ready to move when a strong listing appears.

• Deal availability: 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 362 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.23% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 58.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,940, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Fit's resale value?

The current average of $16,312 sits slightly above last year's $15,802.

That upward movement suggests the market still sees value in this model year, which can help support resale strength if you buy carefully. If you choose a well-kept example and avoid overpaying, you’re more likely to preserve value when it’s time to sell. Strong demand at the used-car level also helps keep pricing steadier than you might expect for a small hatchback.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.62/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Fit or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.23% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.62/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $14,683, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $16,312 average.
• It offers strong value with a spacious, practical hatchback layout.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market signal and are comfortable shopping carefully, the 2019 is the better primary target. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2018 is the smarter secondary path, especially if you find one in clean condition with solid maintenance history.
