How much does the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback cost?

Prices have softened 5.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 914 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback’s appeal comes from its sporty, European-inspired look, practical hatchback body style, and modern tech like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also offers useful everyday features, available manual and CVT transmissions, and a strong feature list for the compact-car class. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want a compact hatch with versatility, a more engaging driving character, and a well-equipped cabin. 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2019 Civic Hatchback’s overview points to a model that is broadly appealing, but it also notes that reliability is not uniformly perfect across the lineup. That means you should expect some variation from one used example to another, especially depending on trim, equipment, and maintenance history. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a car that has been poorly maintained or equipped without the features you expected.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback?

At 53.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection should focus on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of past collision work, since those issues can affect both value and ownership confidence. It’s also smart to verify that the specific car has the equipment you want, especially if you’re shopping for driver-assistance features or other higher-trim amenities.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 914 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,145, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback's resale value?

The current average of $18,459 sits slightly below last year's $19,430.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you can reduce the impact of that softer market. Well-equipped examples with clean histories should hold up better than cars with accident records or missing features.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 33.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $19,772, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $18,459 average.
• It has more up-to-date technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2019 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability. If you’re willing to pay more for a newer model year and place extra weight on updated tech, the 2020 is the better secondary path for price-sensitive buyers who still want a Civic Hatchback.
