CarGurus Analysis: 2019 Honda Accord

Summary
With 150 currently listed for sale near Seattle, WA and an average price of $21,331.00, 24.0% of 2019 Honda Accords for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2019 Honda Accord 4.43 / 5 stars.

Why it stands out
The 2019 Honda Accord stands out as a roomy, well-rounded family sedan that blends practicality with a more upscale feel than many buyers expect in this class. Honda’s buying guide describes the Accord as high-quality, practical, and good to drive, and it also notes that the model has grown into a “large car” by EPA standards, which helps explain its expansive cargo hold and roomy rear seat. That same guide also points to the Accord’s near-luxury-car feel, especially in higher trims with leather-trimmed seats, while owner feedback reinforces the appeal of its stylish design, luxurious interior, and comfortable, spacious cockpit.
What makes the 2019 model especially appealing is how much everyday usability it packs in without becoming complicated. The Accord’s infotainment is described as pleasant and easy to use, and the generation guide says modern Accords offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility through large touchscreens. Safety is another major strength: starting with the tenth generation, all Accord models come standard with Honda Sensing, which includes lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, forward collision braking, and road-departure mitigation. The same generation also brought a simple, easy-to-use interior layout, physical HVAC controls, and strong rear-seat comfort, along with best-in-class cargo space among its contemporaries.
There are a few tradeoffs to keep in mind. The buying guide lists no AWD options among the Accord’s drawbacks, and it also notes that the model tends to be more expensive than its competitors. Owner comments add that some drivers notice engine noise and wind noise at highway speeds. Even so, the 2019 Honda Accord remains distinctive because it combines space, safety, refinement, and everyday ease of use in a package that feels more polished than most mainstream midsize sedans.

Is the 2019 Honda Accord a good car?
Generally — the 4.43/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the stylish design, luxurious interior, and comfortable, spacious cockpit, while also highlighting the smooth ride and impressive fuel economy. For you, that means this Accord fits especially well if you want a roomy family sedan that feels more upscale than many rivals and still works well as an everyday commuter. 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.
Is the 2019 Honda Accord reliable?
Owners rate it 4.43/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner summary also emphasizes excellent reliability, along with a reputation for being dependable and good value for money. That combination matters if you want a used sedan you can count on for daily driving without feeling like you’re taking on a risky ownership proposition. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s core reputation and more about finding a well-kept example with a clean history and consistent maintenance.
What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Honda Accord?
At 54% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection on any car that looks especially clean or unusually well priced. Focus your inspection on body condition, signs of prior repair, and overall wear that could hint at harder use. If a listing has a strong price but questionable history, make sure the condition justifies the discount before moving forward.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Honda Accord?
This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you have room to compare listings without rushing every decision.
- Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 3,801 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.68% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 54.0% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $18,496.40, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2019 Honda Accord's resale value?
The current average of $19,024 sits slightly below last year's $20,170.
That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you can reduce the impact of that softer market when it comes time to sell. A well-kept Accord should still appeal to shoppers who want a roomy, practical sedan with a strong reputation.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2019 Honda Accord or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2019 if:
- 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 54% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.68% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2018 if:
- At $18,127, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $19,024 average.
- The 2018 is an all-new redesign with a more engaging driving character.
Consider the 2020 if:
- At $20,366, the 2020 costs more than the current year's $19,024 average.
- The 2020 adds useful tech and a particularly polished everyday driving experience.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of value, owner satisfaction, and current market availability, the 2019 is the strongest default choice. If your budget is tighter, the 2018 is the better price-first alternative, while the 2020 makes sense if you’re willing to pay more for a newer-feeling package.
