How much does the 2019 GMC Yukon XL cost?

Prices have softened 13.81% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,103 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2019 GMC Yukon XL a good car?

Yes — the 2019 GMC Yukon XL earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its spaciousness, comfortable ride, and generous cargo space, and those strengths line up well if you need a large-family SUV or a vehicle that can haul a lot of gear. The main tradeoffs are low fuel economy and a desire from some owners for more power. With 35.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2019 GMC Yukon XL reliable?

Owners rate it 4.6/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience centered on comfort and utility, with many buyers feeling confident in the vehicle’s long-term usefulness. For used shoppers, that means the bigger risk is less about day-to-day satisfaction and more about how well a specific example has been maintained over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 GMC Yukon XL?

At 60% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of body repairs, uneven panel gaps, or wear that doesn’t match the mileage. Focus on overall condition and maintenance records, since a large SUV like this can hide expensive issues if it has been neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 GMC Yukon XL?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,103 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.81% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,268, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 GMC Yukon XL's resale value?

The current average of $24,268 sits slightly below last year's $28,156.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make resale a little less favorable than it was a year ago. If you buy now, your future resale outcome will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is documented. Well-kept examples should still hold buyer interest because this model year appeals to shoppers who need space and comfort in a full-size SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Yukon XL or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2019 is a strong choice if you want the Yukon XL’s roomy, family-friendly formula and you can find a clean, well-priced example. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained listing rather than the newest one available.
