How much does the 2019 GMC Terrain cost?

Prices have softened 9.97% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,302 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2019 GMC Terrain a good car?

Yes — the 2019 GMC Terrain earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its unique design, safety features, and value for money, and many also like the attractive looks and interior features. The overview also highlights its premium-leaning feel, useful tech, and roomy cabin for everyday use. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2019 GMC Terrain reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise centered on safety, value, and a vehicle that feels good to live with day to day. That kind of consistent satisfaction usually matters more than a single feature when you’re trying to judge whether a used SUV will hold up well over time.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and hasn’t had hidden damage.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 GMC Terrain?

At 66.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership patterns before you commit. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive or the vehicle has visible wear. Focus on overall condition, since a clean-looking SUV can still hide past damage or deferred maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 GMC Terrain?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile deals.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,302 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.97% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 66.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $15,368, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 GMC Terrain's resale value?

The current average of $15,394 sits slightly below last year's $17,098.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and trim appeal than on broad market momentum. If you keep the vehicle clean, documented, and well maintained, you’ll be in a better position when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 GMC Terrain or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 66.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.97% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $14,013, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $15,394 average.
• It offers practical comfort and space.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2019 if you want the stronger overall ownership signal, better market support, and a more polished used-SUV buy. If your priority is saving money above all else, the 2018 is the better value play, but you should be more selective about condition and history.
