How much does the 2019 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 3.95% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 2,054 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2019 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 4.86/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its power, style, and comfortable ride, and many also highlight its fun-to-drive handling. That fits well if you want a rear-wheel-drive coupe or convertible with a performance-first personality rather than a purely practical commuter. With 31.2% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding attractive pricing.

Is the 2019 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.86/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that it feels dependable in everyday use, with praise centered on power, style, and a comfortable ride. That said, some buyers mention limited rear-seat space, so long-term ownership risk is less about basic satisfaction and more about whether the car’s sporty layout fits your needs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2019 Ford Mustang?

At 63.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if the car has had multiple owners or any repair history. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of prior collision repair, then verify that the car drives cleanly and that all performance systems behave as expected. Because this model can be bought in many configurations, focus on the specific car’s condition and maintenance record rather than the badge alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2019 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,054 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.95% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 63.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $24,385, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2019 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $26,040 sits slightly below last year's $27,112.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also mean slower appreciation if you plan to sell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition, because a lower entry price can help protect your eventual resale position. Demand should remain supported by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2019 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2019 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2019 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.95% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $22,291, the 2018 costs less than the current year's $26,040 average.
• It feels more polished while keeping the Mustang’s core performance appeal.

Consider the 2020 if:

• At $25,683, the 2020 costs less than the current year's $26,040 average.
• It adds a more nostalgic, heritage-driven take on the Mustang formula.

The bottom line: The 2019 is the best fit if you want strong owner satisfaction, broad market choice, and a price that has already softened. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2018 is the better value play, while the 2020 is worth a look if you want a slightly newer alternative without paying more than the current-year average.
